It’s always said that if you can win whilst not playing your best football, you’re in good stead. Of course you have to put that in context as they come up against one of the best sporting sides of all time.
Wallabies march on in Mendoza
Hahaha for sure. If he was a bit taller he’d look as fearsome as Mitch!
There’s a few Windies players who have adopted the bail-tap. Pollard and Junior Bravo are ones.
Chanderpoor: Veteran batsman’s exlusion will cost Windies
Sorry Robbo, do you watch cricket? In the past two calendar years he’s averaged 70 and 58. Come on mate, just do a little research before ripping on one of the games greats.
And the notions that this uncapped Chandrika will have a better chance against Starc and Co is laughable.
Chanderpoor: Veteran batsman’s exlusion will cost Windies
To a degree. But half of his dismissals in England were to spin, and all bar one of the Anderson wickets were from lazy shots, not being beaten by pace or bounce.
I still think he’d have another 6 months in him. And even if he is on the down turn, they just don’t have the senior batsmen in and around the team to help with the transition. Who will they turn to for guidance and experience? The slew of T20 bandits?
The most mature person in the side now is Darren Bravo. And even he has a bucket load still to learn (although i rate him up there with Root and KW when it comes to technique and young temperament).
Chanderpoor: Veteran batsman’s exlusion will cost Windies
Sup commentary buddies! So much pressure on the Indian batsmen to get through this first hour, especially after a rather poor showing in Adelaide, bar a few good knocks.
Meanwhile, toooons of the same pressure on Starc and Hazelwood to get early scalps whilst the new ball does some talking.

Both wickets fell whilst I was on the toilet.
I’ve just taken a pack of laxatives. Doing my duty!

Gorgeous pull shot from Kohli! He really does have a classy technique.

I disagree. Amla and Sanga are the best in Tests, but AB is the complete batting package across all forms.
Fact: David Warner is the world's best batsman
I’m sorry, but your headline just did a number on me. I just can’t see how you can possibly place him above Amla and Sanga. Amla especially, whose temperament and shot selection have him well above of Davey.
I am a huge Warner fan, but don’t do him the disservice of exaggerating his talent. There will be a time when he’s the best in the world. That time is not now.
Fact: David Warner is the world's best batsman
Cracking read mate. Enjoyed the stat diving!
Eleven Test records that may never be broken
I disagree with both. Have a look at the indian Ranji trophy wickets. Goddam roads! Ravidra Jedega has 3 triple tons, it will happen eventually.
Lara’s 400 similarly will be beaten on a flat subcontinental deck. We never thought 200 in ODIs would be crossed, now it’s happened 4 times in the last three years, all in india….
Eleven Test records that may never be broken
I agree that the encumbent deserves a good crack. But he’s been poor of late, and that line shouldnt save you when another player has been pickign up wickets consistently.
O'Keefe should have been picked for Adelaide
Can’t say I agree with regards to Pocock. I think he should have been smarter in the way he handled it, but he’s committed to what he believes in. Dont make rugby union players as stupid and thoughtless and their league counterparts.
Can athletes please just shut up and play
I agree, but at the same time, different people greive in different ways. I think we just need to be patient, especially as these were his close mates, and in the case of Warner and a few others, were there when it happened.
It's no disrespect to Phillip Hughes to get on with playing cricket
Without being that ‘I told you so’ fella, I was pretty confident he’d get there eventually.
Why I was wrong about David Warner
I heard that his back won’t get any better, he just needs to deal with the pain. I guess that means he cant just chug along until he wears up a tolerance to the pain meds.
What's more important for Clarke - Tests or the World Cup?
Uzzie for number three. Without a doubt. He’s matured and deserves another chance.
Such is the shame about PJ, he was coming right back into contention to usurp Rogers.
With Rogers and Watson looking shaky, who are the Test contenders?
I think he needs longer. He’s good but give it time.
With Rogers and Watson looking shaky, who are the Test contenders?
I think you’re missing one element here. These pitches get so much use these days that playing on in those conditions will create much more wear to the square than you anticipate.
Light is a different one. I think at the end of the day you have to make sure that the batsman is safe. Floodlights work well with the white ball, but do nothing for a red ball as many commentators on this article don’t quite get. Maybe if the pink ball gets passed…
Cricket must stop being so precious about weather
Haha, maybe sell it a little harder next time. I’ll admit I was a little skiddish when I saw your comment cause I’ve seen a couple like that on these forums, and that thought pattern scares me.
O'Keefe should have been picked for Adelaide
Hokey Pokey?
