There is dist of revenues from the centre, but it’s not huge money, under 500k to the highlanders last time I looked

Exclusive: 'Seismic shift' as Waratahs to hand over keys to RA in boost to reform push - others to follow

That’s where the nz centralisation works
Highlanders might pay him 250k, and NZR another 400 or so
But that’s kind of where it ends, other than requests to manage his minutes
Not the like all power to Sauron stuff McClennen is proposing

Nah – last game was ok, but he’s had a poor year for mine, but Foz is a loyal coach which has been a huge part of our problem this cycle

DMac delivers iconic World Cup moment as All Blacks charge into quarters - but big concerns over injured props

If you sign a one year contract with an option to extend to 2027, is it a 1 year or 5 year contract.
Asking for a friend.

45-22 to Scotland, heard it here first 😂

DMac delivers iconic World Cup moment as All Blacks charge into quarters - but big concerns over injured props

No matter what our preference its all too late for changes in the 23 other than Dmac demanding a place on the bench I reckon. Papalii will likely start off the pine next week when we play Scotland……..

Well, wasps are bankrupt and closed for a start and the article you cut and pasted this from was written 6 months before they turned to dust.

Exclusive: 'Seismic shift' as Waratahs to hand over keys to RA in boost to reform push - others to follow

11% of the Highlanders changed hands this for an est (not disclosed) 120,000
So a touch over 1.2 million kiwi

Define ‘worth’ please
Didnt Wasps go into administration last year? ie. Worth nothing
Bath operates at a loss and is entirely owner dependent for survival

Not so good on the old cash flow forecasting down at RA
Like you, surprised Tahs have gone first and without their vote, current board isn’t getting rolled I would think

Exclusive: 'Seismic shift' as Waratahs to hand over keys to RA in boost to reform push - others to follow

This is a rock/hard place circular argument
– RA withhold 1.7mil in distributions to franchises (Brumbies number reported only a week ago) so the Super teams financially struggling
– Debt at RA about to increase the interest rate cost is likely rise further
– With a 0 percent tier one return from the wallabies this year its going to be a tough gig increasing revenue at Wallaby level ( I would love to know how many people have paid the $1800 to get priority in the BIL queue), Private Equity have voted with their feet on the veracity of RAs future cash flow projections.
Tough place to be, but by controlling the dist of funds to the Super teams, RA have all the cards.

I think Warren Gatland got the email…..

Wallabies lose another two young guns to World Cup injuries - but Eddie won't call up anyone yet

Just when you think the governance cant get any worse, the CEO declares the way forward before the review into the Wallabies worst year ever has even begun.

SPIRO ZAVOS: Eddie Jones' coaching flaw is his belief that rugby is the same game as league

It was hardly a secret that there wasn’t any proper depth
He had 9 months
4 camps plus the RC and a huge lead in to the RWC
Better selections and focus on scrum coaching would surely have helped
He didn’t find out Nonggorr couldn’t scrum when they rocked up in France did he?

SPIRO ZAVOS: Eddie Jones' coaching flaw is his belief that rugby is the same game as league

When a coach stops knowing why he lost or who he should’ve picked, it’s just about over.

yep – bang on.
And every time you read the word ‘innovation’ in relation to the wallabies this year, think enormous unsubstantiated punt.
But as you say mate, we are only fans.

RA 'committed' to Eddie despite 'bitterly disappointing' RWC campaign, in talks with NZR over northern threat

Good read….perhaps the poor pendulum D of the back three drags them back to a C for mine

WALLABIES REPORT CARD: 'F--k mate, what didn't go wrong?'- Few pass marks and an F for Eddie in Pool C disaster

“Hindsight is a wonderful thing”
This was a slow motion train wreck everyone except Jones and co saw coming.
Ignored a swathe of universal rugby laws and paid the price
– you need 700 caps at a World Cup
– you need stable and strong leadership. Look at the list of 8 names of the captains that have lifted the RWC and compare that to the 6 captains the wallabies have used this year
– led without a specialist kicker, either for goal or for territory
– chose 8/9/10 combos that cannot control a game
– a side with no established combinations
The list goes on
Defy the rugby gods – play the price
Waugh should be specifying to the wallaby supporter paying public what he sees that is going to change if the coach stays the same

Just the kind of solid management PE firms like to invest in………

The Wrap: Wallabies scrape a win but the team, and the code, have entered Chinese water torture territory

Thanks for that Geoff
There was a fair bit of trepidation that Aus would adjust to the new pro era better than NZ, certainly had better models around them to leverage off than the then NZRU had. And I think in the early days that was probably true, not so much now and NZR is now dealing with some serious legacy structures.
As for the recent ‘look over here’ actions of RA, these people just demonstrate they don’t know their own market. The Cash for Crichton deal was never going to be well received, while the alleged future cash flows from the tension in the TV trade, are the very cash flow forecasts just rejected by a swathe of very clever PE people. Your supporters are no dummies RA. (by the way, if they cant do 50mil pa next time they are in real trouble)
Tone deaf.

Theres an article in this for you JDK – direct comparison RA and Penguins of Madagascar.
