The disallowed try was 0-100. Clearly obstruction. There would have been no hole for foley to run through if Arnold hadn’t blocked the defender. Plain and simple

You don’t just sub off sio for TPN. For one they don’t play the same position. Secondly you would have to hook your captain (which might not have been a bad idea as it sounded like poite was getting a bit sick of him questioning every call) to bring on TPN then you still have to sub sio for slipper.

You’re absolutely right david, we haven’t heard the last of Skelton. But that’s only because you keep bringing him up every week.
Instead of writing an article that looks at the issues other roarers have raised and giveing your opinion on how he could rectify them you just lash out at others for not sharing your views.
He didn’t get selected because greater rugby minds than yours deemed him not up for the job. That’s not to say he’s done but just that he doesn’t suit the style the coaches see this game being played in which I’m sure we can all agree will be a very physical and taxing game.
Personally I don’t think he should be in the squad at all but that’s my opinion and you’re free to disagree. But I think he is living off past deeds and brief moments of class this season.
Let him go away and work on what needs working on then maybe he will make his way back into the gold.

No nemani nadolo topped the table the year the tahs won. No one is denying that Folau is a great player. Just trying to point out to this guy that he’s not the greatest in the world at everything.

when you are getting 10-15m of uncontested space every time you run the ball out of your 22 its easy to see why his running metres are so high. every other 15 in the world worth his salt has a good boot on him and doesn’t have to run the ball every time it comes to him.
more off loads doesn’t necessarily mean he’s better. an offload is just an offload but read and sbw have turned it into an art form. in numbers folau might offload more but the quality isn’t the same.
try scoring record – in 2015 19 players scored more tries than him. this year there are currently 8 on higher numbers. further more he has never topped the table for try scoring in any year he has played super rugby and has only topped it for internationals once 3 years ago. doesn’t really add up does it?? savea has topped (or equal first) the internationals 3 out of the last 4 years and the year he didn’t he was equal 2nd.
get a grip man. it’s clear for all to see that you love the man but it’s not doing him a dis service to say he’s not the best in the world. only one person can be. sadly for you it’s not him.

I’ll give you high ball. Metres are pretty easily gained when you can’t kick and run the ball back from fullback every time someone kicks in behind.
He’s good at beating defenders but both the best.
No way he is the best at offloading. Not a chance in hell. Read and SBW more than cover him in this category and I’m not even wracking my brain to think of others.
Plus he can’t possibly be the best finisher in the world when he doesn’t score that many tries anymore. I’d much rather have savea, NMS, naholo or smith (Ben, but the others are good too) finishing. Hell, even Dane Coles finishes well these days.

Could have easily been 2 penalty tries to the saders if you want to go down that path.
And I’ve always thought Folau is over rated. Still a very good player but not what lots of people make him out to be imo. Also comparing his kicking to daggs is ridiculous. Folau must have been running the water when he was in the AFL because he certainly didn’t learn how to kick.
How many times did dagg finish a kicking duel last night by booting it into the tahs half?? In comparison the times Folau kicked were pretty average and in one case embarrassing.

Im not too clear on that law but I think that if he takes the quick conversion they can’t go to the tmo for replays and have to rely on what they saw live.

Actually he’s pretty spot on. I was at the game and picked up on all these points as well. The locking of the chasers was plain to see in the stadium and a lot more penalties could have been awarded. And I lost count of how many times players were taken in the air.
