I ‘feel’ that Blackadder has more to offer of the two but in his defence Luke Jacobson has not really had a fair crack with the top players around him.
He was below the radar at Twickenham but we were playing a man down and with our best front row missing and I remember he was subbed off due to one of the front row being carded as well. Maybe that was a different occasion? All a bit of a blur.
I reckon either of that pair coming off the bench with the current starting 23 would add some quality but it appears we will literally never know.

I have never seen a Springbok team as innovative as this one and the coaches deserve a lot of credit for that.

Dare I say it, it is time for Aussie fans to get behind the Wallaroos right now!
How many of you know that they will be playing the best team in the world tomorrow night?
Get behind your team and maybe, just maybe, the cart can lead the nag { that’s AR for you dummies} to water! 👍

Forget Eddie's Coogee circus, the biggest questions Australian rugby must answer were revealed in Paris

Jacobson is another player who was brought in belatedly-almost grudgingly-and hasn’t really had a decent chance to establish himself.
I was excited when Blackadder was brought in and really felt he could add some real starch to our bench but that hasn’t transpired. A lot of ifs, buts and maybes with this squad.
With Christie, i don’t think he will let anyone down but having him there presupposes that NZ will have a lead to defend when he comes on. If Foster has faith in him then why didn’t he get a run v Ireland in those dying minutes?
What I like about Roigard is the fact that he offers a point of difference and could be a game- breaker. That’s what you need if you are trailing and need a spark. Does FC offer that?

I’m not wring the Pumas off that is for sure.
Been bitten too many times for complacency!

So Christie is only there as injury cover effectively. That is wasted space and opportunity.
He must get some minutes this week to stake his claim otherwise bring Roigard in!

Yeah, I thought NZ were something better than 40-60, the bench reduced our chances in my mind although the way it panned out, the bench really paid off!( ALB and SW). I don’t think we would have the luxury of not using two of our subs against the Boks though.

I would be uneasy if they repeated the mistake of 2007 and had key players in the stands; what I was talking about was introducing a couple of the fringe players from the bench so that those key guys could have full tanks should they get to the final.
I suppose there is no perfect way of doing that since they seem to be sticking with Christie and Papalii-those two will need some minutes too. The chances of Roigard and Blackadder/Jacobson appearing on the team sheet now may have gone up in smoke.

I fear Foster missed a trick not mixing a couple more players in and tweaking the bench. He is asking a lot of Retallick, Cane, Barrett, Frizzell and Savea in particular. Makes sense to swap the two big locks but what about those others that played the full 83?

I hate the thought of Owen Farell winning the Cup he is the most loathsome captain in the tournament.
That’s very harsh and very personal. Do you know him or are you basing that statement on the fact that WR is like a parent that lets its child run amok because the don’t set clear ground rules and then stick to them?

I was proud of our government’s approach.
We only had about 15 ICU beds (cost $1M per annum to run) free in the entire country.
Had we not locked down there would have been a lot of deaths.

Once again it always comes back to consistency of the rulings or lack thereof.

That’s the facts, not my opinion
Wouldn’t you need to do exhaustive analysis to confirm something so arbitrary as a “fact”?
If you haven’t then it really is only “opinion”-however ‘educated’.

You lost ….You’re out ..deal with it…
Yeah, I agree.
It seems to be an unsavoury human trait to make excuses for a setback and I think we see it from all sets of fans.

According to wiki it was composed sometime after 1865, the specific date is unknown.

“Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” is an African-American spiritual song and one of the best-known Christian hymns. Originating in early oral and musical African-American traditions, the date it was composed is unknown. Performances by the Hampton Singers and the Fisk Jubilee Singers brought the song to the attention of wider audiences in the late 19th century. J. B. T. Marsh includes an early version of text and tune in his 1876 publication The Story of the Jubilee Singers, with Their Songs.[1] The earliest known recording of “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” was recorded in 1894, by the Standard Quartette.[2]

The song uses the theme of death to remind the audience of the glory that awaits in Heaven, when Christians believe they will transcend the earthly world of suffering and come to rest in their final home. Specifically, the text refers to the Old Testament account of the Prophet Elijah’s ascent into Heaven by chariot.[1]unquote

No surprises there.

Gracious of you Ken.
I must say, I was fairly well pleased at the effort the boys put in on my behalf. After our election night I wasn’t well placed to have my morning ruined by a loss to the Leprechauns. I suspect the ABs knew that and put out their A game. 👍
I thought that game would take some beating but I reckon the France v RSA match went one better in terms of quality thrills and spills. It was a veritable feast of rugby.

It took them 28 phases to go 20 metres during that finale.
If you have the pace the ABs do out wide I think you can back yourself to scramble before wings like Lowe, Hansen, Sheehan and O’Mahony can exploit it.

Hanging back and waiting while the Irish support ran all sorts of dazzling angles and scissors behind Sexton Johnny reminded me of that iconic Indiana Jones scene where turbaned bloke with sword gets shot by the titular character.

Between you and me (and your ” friend ” of course) I don’t recommend feeling like an aging tortoise. It isn’t for the faint-hearted.

I reckon they will be drained both mentally and physically so freshening up the side would be my preference whilst retaining the spine.
I’d put some of the older experienced players on the bench a la Dunedin and trust the young guns to get the job done.
No point reaching a final if you have ‘done an Ireland’ and spent all your ammo along the way.

A possible letdown spot: Can the All Blacks overcome the dreaded complacency shadow against Argentina?

Got you clicking though Neil so job done?
I agree with you though. I never want to see players or coaches publicly critical of a ref’s performance. There should be proper private avenues for any concerns to be addressed.

What, he is a “grub” for cupping a hand to his ear at the crowd? That was a home game effectively for Ireland and I certain the ABs copped a lot of stick. I don’t see a problem with him giving a little back. Not my definition of a grubby player.

No kiwi in their right mind would stick their hand up to coach the Wallabies again for quite some time I would think.
