“Now that I’ve got my one crazy, stupid article for the year out of the way, I’ll be nicely placed to be a little more sensible and focus on the real NRL season from next week onwards.”

If even you think the premise of this article is stupid/crazy, then why should we take it for a gain of salt? Why did you write it? Why should we waste our time reading it?

There are too many Sydney NRL teams

Thanks for your comment,

I can tell you two of those cities do get a look in in part 2 – stay tuned!

Cases for NBA expansion (part 1)

Thanks for your comment, Bob

I’m sure the NBA would have faced many of these problems when expending to other areas as well.

We can’t fool ourselves with “what if” scenarios like you have here. Like “what if,” in the Las Vegas team you have proposed, “some drunk idiot attacks one of the players?”

I understand and respect that in Montreal and Vancouver ice hockey is very popular, but if a team can work in Toronto, why can’t it work there? The Raptors have developed their own passionate fan base, there’s no reason these cities wouldn’t either. And there is no reason Vancouver should be shunned because they have failed before. There have been two or three plus teams going through many cities before. Do your research, Bob!

I’m happy to concede your point about San Diego, considering you are a native, but I think the league would be foolish to completely rule it out, considering it is the biggest US city without an NBA team.

Yes Jacksonsville and Columbus are the smallest US cities on the list, and both have professional teams, but so do many other NBA cities. Again, some research wouldn’t be a bad idea!

Thanks for reading, hope to see you on part 2.

Rob from Brumby Country, you are clearly literate, but can you read?? O.o

I was not making a prediction on whether Wawrinka could win another slam or not. If you wanted me to, I reckon he will. I think he’ll win multiple slams.

2014 Australian Open Final: who won more?

I don’t think anyone is questioning Wawrinka’s efforts. I sure am not.

2014 Australian Open Final: who won more?

Not another plagiarism!

You’ve got to be kidding me!

Brisbane 2.0 must be the next NRL expansion team

Next expansion move must be another club in Brisbane

A combination of both reasons, I think. Yes the Ashes series victory has brought people back to cricket, and united Australia with the boys, T20 has also played a big role in the rise of cricket. As annoyed as the cricket purists will be, T20 is a much more exciting and generally appealing version of cricket, and plenty of T20 fans with a thirst for more cricket once the competition is over will no doubt head over to follow the test team in the tour of South Africa.

Suck it up cricket purists, T20 has done a lot for the sport in this country.

Thanks to Twenty20, cricket is now more popular than ever

You don’t rate Peter Betham, Scott?

Wallaby candidates to watch in Super Rugby 2014

Good article. Stinks to me of LeBron trying to play down his intense desperation to beat the Pacers.

Do real rivalries still exist in the NBA?

Would you like to explain why exactly?

Very poor comment, George.

Well done Michael. I agree wholeheartedly.

Let’s hope Ange has a good plan and can at least test the Spains and Hollands of the world.

Why the World Cup draw is the least of our problems

Questions for every NRL team heading into 2014 (part 1)

Full speed. Sorry. Should’ve realised I’d be the only Star Trek nerd on here

Questions for every NRL team heading into 2014 (part 1)

Please stop saying premiership ring.

Why the NRL must keep Sonny Bill Williams

The rise of Manchester City at least gives us hope

Small clubs making big waves in the NBA

Great article Daniel. Keep shooting for the stars

Our league, the A-League

To those saying the better team won, how could they have won if they really shouldn’t have? Silly.

I don’t want to believe there’s some sort of Sydney conspiracy going on here, but it wouldn’t be too hard to believe considering the free ride Souths got last night. Indeed Souths were the better team, but it was embarrassing watching blatant bias in favour of the team that “the NRL wants to make the Grand Final”

Henry hints at Sydney NRL conspiracy

How can Manly have outplayed a side that should’ve won…?

Henry hints at Sydney NRL conspiracy

As well as in Brisbane, as I have previously pointed out (http://www.theroar.com.au/2013/09/05/brisbane-ii-should-be-the-nrls-next-project/)

Assessing the West Coast Pirates bid (Pt III)

Your input is always valued Oikee.

Assessing the West Coast Pirates bid (Pt III)

My guess is as good as yours, but the evidence is that they are. NRMA sponsors the Broncos, Toyota sponsors the Cowboys, St. George Bank sponsors the Dragons. We seem to be forgetting that the east coast of Australia does represent the bulk of the population.

Assessing the West Coast Pirates bid (Pt III)

Right right right right right

Did the Eagles, Crows, Dockers and Power come before the Suns and Giants? I think so.

Assessing the West Coast Pirates bid (Pt III)

I sincerely hope not

Mowen set to begin a long reign as Wallaby captain

You’ll love part II then.

Assessing the West Coast Pirates bid (Pt I)

That’s true. I nearly got knocked over by some punk kids fighting at an NRL game.
