Yeah I am very interested to see how the Raiders and Rabbits go making some noise and potentially having a deep run being outside the Top 4
Previews and predictions for NRL finals Week 1
As a Celtics fan what do you reckon should be their next moves going into next season?
The Boston Celtics are a centerpiece away from championship contention
Well you do have a point but Golden State were all in their prime and Curry, Klay, KD with Draymond are on another planet compared to the Boston kids. And their first championship they had Bogut who back then is much better than Theis and Robert Williams which is what Celtics have currently. Toronto yes they had Marc Gasol and Ibaka last season as well and they were huge defensively protecting the paint to help hinder Giannis and the Bucks. For Boston, as you see with Adebayo and even recent times with Giannis, they have been able to do damage in the paint against the Celtics. But for the most part, they’ve been able to hide their lack of rim protection overall by being able to switch similar to a Toronto and Golden State. As I mentioned with Boston, it hurts them more on offence. They don’t need an all-star Center. Someone like Valunciunas or Lopez which I stated would be sufficient just to provide a low-post option to change things up from time to time. Do you genuinely believe that right now or even next season, Walker, Brown, Tatum, Smart and Hayward can go all the way and win a chip? Sure Brown and Tatum might develop to become elite to overcome a lack of an inside presence. But certainly having even an average center will do wonders for their team. Also I’m not saying that Boston aren’t contenders but if they actually are going to win it all a true big man will make their jobs easier
The Boston Celtics are a centerpiece away from championship contention
Yeah true pretty much since Kevin Garnett they haven’t had a big presence in the paint and when they did have him they won a ring
The Boston Celtics are a centerpiece away from championship contention
Watching Jamal Murray throughout the season he has really stepped up in the playoffs. He wasn’t anything special during the regular season and I don’t know if he is a superstar but his mentality and ability to step up in the clutch has been amazing. If he maintains the consistency I’d say he will be making his way there
Is Jamal Murray a superstar?
Yeah right? They don’t need anyone special just someone to get the job done. We’ll see what they do though
The Boston Celtics are a centerpiece away from championship contention
Definitely he’s got what it takes all he needs is some extra development and strength
Alex de Minaur is motivated to own the present and not the future
It’s all sorted now! Port is 1st and Richmond play Brisbane which i believe Richmond would rather
Richmond still the team to beat as back-to-back titles loom large
Pretty much if they don’t show up and are off their game. Could be a variety of factors: lack of adjustments from coaching, poor performances or whatever. Practically they are a good team and can beat anyone on any day. It’s going to take a great performance to bring them down. I don’t suspect Richmond will make the opposition’s life easier by playing poorly though. Injuries could be another thing you never know what might happen in these games
Richmond still the team to beat as back-to-back titles loom large
Yeah I feel like Richmond can only beat themselves mainly at this stage. But we’ll see what happens
Richmond still the team to beat as back-to-back titles loom large
Yeah Optus got a good deal going on and runs smoothly. City vs Wolves and Liverpool vs Chelsea will be potential matches of the week for me this coming weekend
Major takeaways from Week 1 of the English Premier League
Yeah what I think they have been good at doing is taking things one game at a time. They focus on whats in front of them and its helped them come back from 3-1 down. Cant wait to see them up against the Lakers. Interesting to see how both teams adjust to each other
Denver continue making history in fairytale NBA season
Yeah it was definitely a hard fought contest. Shame that there wasn’t any fans for obvious reasons. Under normal circumstances it would’ve been an amazing final with an atmosphere. Zverev is young though he will have his time in the future
Dominic Thiem’s persistence helps claim maiden grand slam title
As long as they take it one week at a time and don’t look ahead, you just never know
The Eagles are flying under the finals radar
Yeah I remember that Western Bulldogs team and it sort of reminds me of the makeup of West Coast. Bulldogs back then had quality players across the park like Johannisen, Tom Boyd, Stringer, Bontompelli, Dalhaus, Liberatore etc. Eagles are a very balanced side when fully healthy. Will be tough but we’ll see
The Eagles are flying under the finals radar
Yeah most likely Richmond will be favourite and West Coast will have to make adjustments if they face each other. But I guess while its not expected, don’t be surprised if West Coast pull it off. They can definitely do some damage
The Eagles are flying under the finals radar
Yeah you’re right a lot of the onus is on the players to. Can’t do much when Bledsoe disappears in the playoffs. But I guess coach Bud could do a whole lot better putting the team in better positions. You see Brad Stevens, Nick Nurse, Erik Spoelstra they always change things up where necessary. But the Bucks are literally set in their ways
Milwaukee needs a culture change and the buck stops with Budenholzer
In all honesty I hope Giannis doesnt leave because we need more competitive teams overall. Thats why I reckon the Bucks need a new coach. They do the same things over and over. I think Giannis needs to be more off ball and they need a better guard who is better than Bledsoe so Giannis isn’t holding the ball every time.
Milwaukee needs a culture change and the buck stops with Budenholzer
Yeah true Rodriguez has spluttered somewhat. Chelsea looks stacked will be interesting to see how they lineup
Games to watch out for in EPL Week 1
Hmmm yeah I reckon probs could’ve pitted earlier for hard tyres and tried to undercut? He usually looks after his tyres well so could have given himself better positioning before the red flag but he’s also generally good at overtaking with fresher tyres as well but was just stuck behind Bottas.
Drama-filled Italian Grand Prix sees Gasly as the ultimate opportunist
Yeah mate as a Ricciardo fan I’m hoping Renault can get just one podium with him on it! Can’t wait to see him in McLaren next year
Five takeaways from 2020 Russian Grand Prix
