Shane Savage , yes. Not Ben. (Where did I get Ben from… )

The mystery of AFL finals fixturing

I certainly hope so, and will be cheering on the Saints!

Hope Ben Long at least plays, otherwise you’ll bring in Ben Savage I suppose… Who’s ok too.

The mystery of AFL finals fixturing

But Saints (who you’d have beaten anyway), now missing three key players. Should be a walkover.

The mystery of AFL finals fixturing

No Paddy Ryder, No Ben Long, No Jake Carlisle.

Does Richmond ever run out of luck???

I hope Saints fight and don’t make it a one sided thrashing… but kinda looking like will be Tigers by 100!

The mystery of AFL finals fixturing

Really? I thought it was miles better than the Port v Cats game.

Fantastic speed, intensity, thrilling finish. The first final was a bore IMO, but the other three fantastic.

GO LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AFL qualifying final forecast: Brisbane Lions vs Richmond Tigers

Incredible talent!

Defying gravity: Talented teenager goes viral with incredible athleticism in footy grand final

Contracted to end of 2022.

Which 2020 finalists will not be back in 2021?

Have seen this rumour floating around the last three days… Worrisome.

Cameron was outstanding last year, great pace and accurate in front of goal, then suffered a long-term ish injury (Osteitis Pubis) that kept him out of the end stages of last season, until mid this season.

Since his return, he hasn’t been the same at all. But most think it’s to do with coming off a long term injury, and having no WAFL to build up match fitness.

If (When) he regains his first year (2019) form, he will be a huge loss to us, especially as we’re desperate for small forwards. Would be huge get for Pies, and can understand why they’re chasing him.

Lions were also interested at some stage, probably because of brother Charlie, but haven’t heard anything about that lately.

Which 2020 finalists will not be back in 2021?

To be fair to Brander, I think it’s mostly a confidence issue rather than skills per se.

So more (winning) games should hopefully fix this.

Which 2020 finalists will not be back in 2021?

Vardy will be 30 next year.

If we somehow gained back Venables and Rioli, would be fantastic.

XON ok has shown enough positives, and hopefully develops well.

Williams looks very exciting – I hope he’s one of the answers.

Time’s ticking for Brander to show something. At least Ainsworth has.

Which 2020 finalists will not be back in 2021?

Shame about Sier. His dedication an issue, but so much talent. Expect him to be named and play well against Eagles on Saturday.

Harry McKay, Ben Brown/Jeremy Cameron, De Goey and Mihocek in one forward line? Overkill?

I think the combo of McKay and De Goey would be a dream forward line. Though can’t see Blues parting with him.

You’d be mad not to keep Mihocek. But if you “can’t agree on numbers”, seems like the Pies want him to walk… to Freo. Will be an excellent addition to any side.

Which 2020 finalists will not be back in 2021?

Exactly this. Freo, Carlton, and/or GWS.

Which 2020 finalists will not be back in 2021?

Plain old beacon of truth and light, Channel 7, a few weeks ago. They did caveat it with phrases like “under discussion” and “very keen” on the footy festival and 4-day breaks, so they can jam in extra rounds to make up some lost income… think figure was tentatively 28 rounds.

The hub situation I’m not sure about, but heard that may be a possibility too. (Hopefully not)

Which 2020 finalists will not be back in 2021?

I hope Brisbane win, because Richmond are sooooo very confident this game’s in the bag.

Tigers to tackle Lions star Neale head-on

Agreed, your young talent is extraordinary, and has the enviable factor that most just slotted straight into AFL level, without years wallowing in “development”.

Only worry for Port is consistency. This finals series will tell us a lot, but the near future looks pretty exciting for Port.

Which 2020 finalists will not be back in 2021?

West Coast’s age profile is such a worry, especially as we have almost no notable picks coming up.

Let’s hope we win the lottery with the 30s and 50s picks, or unearth some under the radar rookie gem (like Riccardi) … Or pull a Saints-style bounty with a few above average players (that are good role players) walking to us.

I think Saints, Collingwood, and Eagles are 50/50 to make it next year (specifically Pies & Eagles)… Especially if it’s back to hubs, 28 rounds, and 4-day turnarounds.

Out of all teams, Lions seem to be in best spot to win a few flags in the next 5-7 years. Will probably hate them when this starts to happen, but for now, would love to see it happen just to knock off the arrogance of a certain pseudo-dynasty.

Which 2020 finalists will not be back in 2021?

Not having Lynch won’t make a difference. Smart move to play it safe.

Lions, kick the f straight. And I hope you know what you’re doing playing Andrews… That is all.

Tipping Lions. GO LIONS!!

Tom Lynch ruled out of Richmond's qualifying final

Charlie Ballard. Criminally underrated.

A team of 2020's most under-appreciated players

BRAD SHEPPARD!!!! + Nic and Ryan. Well done boys!

9 out of my 12. Pleased with that.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: All Australian team

Waiting for him to nominate Cartlon, since almost every player looking to move does.

Curious, what goes on at the Blues, why is it so attractive and the destination club? (At least in the last two years)? It’s not as if they’re in a premiership window like Cats, Pies, Tigers or Lions.

Ben Brown told to find new AFL club

Pies about to get the bargain of the year.

Don’t understand why Brown’s value is being downplayed because he’s a “selfish” player. He’s a great forward. Will be a more than handy addition to any side.

Ben Brown told to find new AFL club

As long as starting 22 includes:
– Brad Sheppard
– Liam Ryan

– Nic Nat
– Harris Andrews
– Caleb Daniel
– Dan Butler
– Tom Hawkins
– Mark Blicavs
– Cam Guthrie
– Zak Butters
– Charlie Dixon
– Dustin Martin (who wouldn’t have Dusty in their team?)

No excuse for Pendlebury being nominated. They probably just want to name him captain, even if there’ll be a more deserving captain in the team. (Similar to the Fyfe-Hurn debacle last year – even Fyfe was embarrassed. Although he’d earned his spot in the team).

Feel Papley may be the unlucky small one to miss out, but Liam Ryan has been above excellent, and Dan Butler has been extremely influential to St Kilda’s fortunes).

Can’t believe there’s a Nic Nat vs Gawn debate…. Gawn was rubbish in the first half of season, then went off injured, and was ok in the second half.
… the “lazy and unfit” Nic Nat has been consistent all season- albeit playing managed minutes to limit injury risk – and has been influential almost every game. Eagles would be in the top 4 if Nic Nat wasn’t rested for Bulldogs game (though he earnestly deserved/needed a rest). (Or more importantly, if they didn’t snooze in hub-life take 1).

Gawn shouldn’t even be in the conversation this year. Rowan Marshall should.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: All Australian team

Definitely no Yeo.

We’ll have Shuey, Cripps, Redden, and “most likely” McGovern. (Gov the only question really)
But our backline is actually overstocked, so we can cover for Gov, even though we’d obviously love to have him than not.

Forward line and middle are the issue/weakness.

Not at all confident for this one… Pies will be out for revenge, I expect a very tight game. Hope they don’t thrash us tbh. A 1 point win with no injuries will be an excellent result.

Pies face tough task in AFL finals

Would’ve added to this list – regarding Bulldogs, stop Caleb Daniel, stop Bulldogs.
