“I said the Cats discovered him, discovered his true worth”
So now we’re on the third definition of your original comment.
Whilst I agree the Cat’s deserve to get what they can for him or if Kelly decides then keep him, that doesn’t mean that Kelly suddenly owes the Cats something special or that they ‘deserve’ to keep him..
Every team messed up on Kelly if that is measurement..
Kelly is so far the best player from that draft. It isn’t a West Coast or Fremantle only thing.

Cats confident of keeping Kelly

Discovered he was worth the pick? Firstly they ‘discovered him’ then when that doesn’t fit they ‘discovered the pick’.
Tim Kelly wasn’t discovered as some late 70’s pick he was picked up at pick 24..
Like I said credit to the Cats, they’ll reap the rewards.
But to suggest that he wouldn’t have been picked up otherwise is complete rubbish..

Cats confident of keeping Kelly

Discovered him?
He trained with West Coast before he was drafted, credit to the Cats, they took him before the Eagles did and as a result they will reap the rewards by either keeping a great player or getting a decent trade completed.
To suggest the Cats were the club that ‘discovered’ him is ridiculous!

Cats confident of keeping Kelly

Your comment is just as much rubbish as mine..
You have absolutely no basis of information just a salty old man getting saltier the more you think about that sweet, sweet day in September 2018..

Why the Giants might be forced to part with Coniglio

He will end up at WCE with Kelly going to Fremantle.

Why the Giants might be forced to part with Coniglio

100% Paul!
Peter’s dislike of the Eagles has turned what used to be insightful comments into complete dribble..

Naitanui: I've still got a lot of good footy ahead of me

Guarantee WCE have Kelly or Cogs by 2020

Naitanui: I've still got a lot of good footy ahead of me

Did you even read that or did you just see..
“Cats bad, Eagles” and go on one of your tirades?

Four talking points from AFL Round 14

I didn’t think there was all that much in it.
Nothing more than we see every week from players.
He’ll probably get a week because of the outcome of the injury but the action itself there wasn’t much in it.

'That's dangerous': Could Jeremy McGovern cop a week for this nasty incident?

Depends what drugs we are talking about, recreational or performance enhancing.
Although Ben Cousins was banned for 12 months on the back his issues with recreational drugs..

Ten weeks for Jaidyn Stephenson? You've got to be kidding, AFL!

Except that they have?

Ten weeks for Jaidyn Stephenson? You've got to be kidding, AFL!

You were so humble after the GF last year Peter, the last few weeks or so have really shown the chip on your shoulder though..
Worry about your own mob, not exactly the moral compass of the AFL

Eagles coach apologises for Instagram story gaffe

Wrong.
The booing started after the incident with the Collingwood supporter that was removed from the game after a racist remark, it grew from there.
The West Coast game in 2015 was much later in the piece..

A novice's response to the Adam Goodes debate

As you constantly keep reminding us Peter, only have to beat them in the finals, doesn’t matter what the results were during the season.
Case in point were the Pies beating Richmond in the Prelim last year. Lost to Richmond by 43 and 28 points respectively during the season. Beat them comfortably in the Prelim..
If the Eagles finish top 4 they are a shot doesn’t matter what has happened before that point.

The Eagles are a false flag contender

Sound pretty hopeful there Peter..
To say the season is far from done and dusted.
Nice slow build into the back end of the season, the Eagles will be there about come crunch time!

The Eagles are a false flag contender

Yeah I read the comment below after posting, my apologies..

Carlton has a good chance of winning the Stocker trade

Coniglio is not coming to a Victorian club..
If he leaves GWS and that is a gigantic IF he will go to either WCE or Fremantle.

Carlton has a good chance of winning the Stocker trade

Wouldn’t even be shared between those clubs.
WCE would win indefinitely.
No other club comes close to matching them financially, especially without the help of pokie revenue..

Brendon Bolton was crucified to save SOS's sins

Missed finals twice in those 8 years Macca, sustained success after bottoming out..

Brendon Bolton was crucified to save SOS's sins

Family ties back in the West,
Cousin playing at the Eagles,
Brand new training facilities,
Brand new stadium,
Chance at success,
Why wouldn’t he go back west when his contact is up?

Bolton booted: Carlton sack third senior coach in eight years

So let me get this straight..

It is deemed by yourself and others like you that it is okay for the Haka to be performed because “never direct it at the crowd. Never.”
Logic then follows that if they did direct it at the crowd, they should then expect the same level of booing that Goodes received for his ‘war dance’ right?
Because it is “aggressive towards the crowd” and “confrontational”?

What about other players that are ‘aggressive towards the crowd’ or ‘confrontational’, fingers to the crowd, shushing gestures, screaming in the faces of fans?
Should they also be subjected to weeks of booing?

The AFL’s uncomfortable relationship with racism

I can’t really speak for how Judd was as a leader at the Blues but as an avid WCE supporter he was never a massive leader when he was at the Eagles.
Even when Ben Cousins was removed as captain because of the drug issues and Judd made captain, Ben Cousins was still considered by most as the ‘spiritual leader’ of the Eagles.
Maybe he has never been much of a leader?
An amazing player yes but a leader? Perhaps not!

Chris Judd's frosty exchange with Caroline Wilson over Carlton's woes

They may amend the wording of the rule but at this stage it has not been.
It should have been a free kick as Rampe intentionally climbed the post which in turn caused the post to sway/shake.
He may not have intended to but we can never know for certain because neither you nor I can read Rampe’s mind as to his intentions

LISTEN: Did the umpires get it right with Rampe?

How about this then Peter?
Wording of the rule stays the same, Collingwood are taking a kick to win the match, a player climbs the post which results in the ‘swaying’ and the ball hits the post..
Collingwood loses said game because the player didn’t intentionally shake the post.
Do you still subscribe to it not being a free kick?

LISTEN: Did the umpires get it right with Rampe?

Except that wasn’t all they asked for.
Geelong wanted both of WCE first picks this year being 20/21 and their first rounder the following year.
WCE offered their 2nd rounder as well as 20+21
