There’s a few aboriginal advocates out their trying very hard to move on and upwards from the history books but the naysayers will always be louder. Wheres the plan Stan>?

@ Cadfael, Sexual assault is a very serious issue. Being charged with the presumption of innocence is still the mainstay approach to our judicial system..remembering the travesty that occurred with Brett Stewart.
At this stage what they are guilty of (as far as i’m concerned) is the 3 of them for getting into a situation that involves too much booze, 3.00 am rendezvous, and JDB who cant think past his missus and kids at home. Let courts run their course.
JDB however has already ruined any reputation he built up through a distorted moral compass.

NRL says de Belin free to play despite ongoing trial

The depth is fine… I’ve said this before where Mary needs to rest players on mental fatigue not just the run metres from the gps trackers.
I hope he has his contract renewed as early as possible so it’s not a mid year distraction. The confidence in the coach flows down to the playing group. Mary has improved slowly … inch by inch. Patience is a virtue.

Dragons depth a problem for coach McGregor?

Well that was short lived…. anyone need a full back?

What made you fall in love with rugby league?

As a little kid I grew up in Hornsby Heights. One of my neighbourhood mates was mad keen on footy so one day his father carted us both off to a saints v bears game. It was around 77.. thanks to the Vaughnapells I’ve been a suffering saints fan ever since.

Canterbury fans see their Pay day coming

Probably the right coach given the circumstances the dogs found themselves in. Will play on heart and probably get some success but not a lot of depth in that squad.

Canterbury fans see their Pay day coming

Mary needs to manage the mental health of the team and stop looking only at the GPS run loads of the players. If he can have fit and healthy team come finals he certainly has shown as a coach that he can get them fired up. I agree he has had enough time to sort out the formula for success. Jason D probably deserves a crack at 1st grade somewhere – but if it is Saints then I think we go back into the “building phase”.

Is your NRL coach set for the sack?

Whilst i dont agree with the heading it was worth the read, not sure what prompts certain people to call it a rubbish article as any statement is open for debate on this forum.

Eight reasons the 2018 grand final was the best in a decade

The point is – that the systematic cheating that occurred for years damaged the entire NRL comp. The broncs probably got the rough end of the pineapple in the fact that the big 3 were all Queenslanders and the natural choice if they moved would have been Brisbane. I do recall two stories of Cam Smith being targeted along with Billy Slater – but both had solidified their appointments with the storm by this stage. Had that occurred on a fair playing pitch without salary cap cheating who would know>?

What happened to the Broncos?

I think you mean Jason Demetriou, and i agree. He seems to be in the wings of waiting with every club that he goes to. His success as a coach at different levels is well documented and it looks like he will get a start one day, just when that day comes in a bit uncertain.

"So clumsy": Broncos legend slams board as Seibold voted coach

Manly get a boost having Des back as the face of the coaching staff – no doubt about it. In terms of his excuse over cap management its a great answer but it doesn’t wash with the fans that get left holding the banners after he is gone.
This will be a real test for Manly as much as Des not to repeat the mistakes. Good luck Many fans…

Hasler defends his salary cap management

Love the debate’ – Loosing JDB will hurt but its like Blake Lawrie had the bolts installed in his neck and was hit with 15000 volts. He impressed all afternoon. Kurt Mann needs to step up in terms of work load and game management if he is to pair with Hunt. Souths have been pretty consistent – its hard to go past that back line play. Best of luck to both teams…

Agreed Mr Fish – They should allow a captains challenge and ask on a review for forward passes.

Eight talking points from NRL Round 20

I dont like the handling of the whole situation but.. where does he start.>?
The victims have accepted an offer that they wouldnt have got unless he was playing footy.

When Packer signed with Saints i was furious – he proved me wrong through dedication after the fact that he served 1 year in the clinger.

Whilst Lodge served no time and he was a serial thug the chances of him getting another go were slim, at least he is trying to get his life sorted.
His efforts to get past media and public opinion were damming due to the shocking video footage.
What if there was footage of what Packer did – how much harder would it have been for him.

I think he has a bit to go…

well done Souths’ – well played and coming into some red hot form….

The Dragons need to stay calm and hold their defensive line… our weakness is our lat 15 minutes in not staying conformed.
The attack is fine – every player is scoring tries and all the forwards are on the go forward.
Mary has definitely given the green light to Widdop to take two every chance he gets. At an average of 17 penalties per game if you get 8 with 4 that are kickable its an easy choice.

Ahh 3 Hats … how are you ol’ mate. Your reputation is still riding high.
Let me give you the write of reply after i respond to your BS comments.

In the Souths game we had a nice call go against us on an obstruction rule – yes the call went your way, but had we been awarded that try i think we would have opened up the throttle a little bit more.

You have a good team – a good forward pack, a great hooker from St George in Cook, we bought turtle legs (as you labelled him) McInnes from Souths and he has been the form hooker in terms of consistency.

On the ladder – the rabbits, Broncs, Titans, Knights are all square on 6 points and i think they all have quality within their side…

Saints deserve the current spot on the ladder.

Can the Dragons keep living up to expectations?

There’s some saucy matches this week…Warriors v Broncs will be a real test for the Broncos mentality of where their season will be at 2018.

The Raiders and Eels match will be an out and out war ! !
