Veteran All Blacks sign through to 2027 World Cup, Scott Barrett 'open' to captaincy
All Blacks forwards Scott Barrett and Codie Taylor have committed to New Zealand rugby through to the 2027 World Cup in a boost for…
I understand that the Wallabies are on track, and when the coach can put the best 15 players on the field, we will see the real team. On the other hand, the situation of the All Blacks is really not the best.
They are now on the crest of the wave and still do not know what can happen if Dan Carter is injured.
In 2007 against France, Carter had to leave because of injury and they lost the game. In addition, different players that have replaced him, such as Stephen Donald, Luke McAllister and Nick Evans, were far from the performance of Carter.
For the Wallabies coach Robbie Deans and players to avoid disappointment, they should manage all aspects of the game. That way they will run with advantages over other teams.
One question. Is George Smith is going to be available for the Wallabies next year or not?
I can’t imagine who could replace Pocock if he is injured. George can also play 6, 7 or 8. The experience of this player in a World Cup will be very important.
This would be my starting 15:
Ben Robinson, Tatafu Polota N’au, Ben Alexander
James Horwill – (Nathan Sharpe first 40, with Dean Mum last 40)
Rocky Elsom – Wiclif Palu – David Pocock
Will Genia – Quade Cooper – Matt Giteau – Digby Ioane
Rob Horne – Ashley Cooper – James O’Connor
With these players, they can not lose!
Also sitting on the bench would be S. Moore (I’d like to see him as prop), the twins Fainga, K Beale, L. Burgess, B Barnes, D Mitchell, G. Smith, R. Brown, D. Vickerman, Ma A’Fu, Dealey, Rob Simmons.
