'I've just won a stage of the Tour de France, mate!': Hindley grabs yellow jersey as Aussie blows Tour apart
Australia's Jai Hindley has said he is "lost for words" after a shock stage victory at the Tour de France earned him the leader's…
As expected, Mark Cavendish vanquished his rivals on stage 2 of this year’s race. Despite not having his trademark leadout, Cav was able to pip a fading Andre Greipel on the line with Matt Goss a close third.
I’m glad Cav got a win early because it may convince him to stay in the race and prove me right.
Tonight’s stage is going to be similar to stage one but with a flat finish rather than a climb. The category 3 Cote du Mont Lambert comes with 6.5km to go so things could get interesting. My tip for the stage is for Sagan to win again from Goss and Farrar.
Here’s Tomo’s tip for stage 3:
All this talk of Gossy snatching today’s stage. Don’t think so. The last 700 metres is steep – Gerro has a better chance me thinks. #tdf12

Golden rule for me today: Never trust a fart… -.- I’m happy that I finished the race. But last night has taken its toll so no sprint 2day.

Not entirely sure what Marcel is on about here… Maybe its better not to know.
Needed a good nights sleep to settle down after yesterday. A TDF stage is like no other… In one sec the stage can disappear & it’s over.

Saying that, it’s the reason why we all dream of winning one. Today won’t suit the sprinters much. Two more chances after today.

Mark Renshaw was philosophical after failing to figure in the sprint on Stage 2. Also thinks that tonight won’t suit the pure sprinters.

Funny emotions tonight. Regardless how many stages we win this year, I won’t be happy unless we have the yellow jersey in Paris #allezwiggo

Cav, don’t go caving on me now! I have bets riding on you making Paris!

@grolby … It’s not irrelevant in general, but to the 2012 Tdf it is irrelevant. Lance has zero to do with the sport anymore.

…although its good to see that he can be serious (and correct) when he needs to be.
First bunch sprint of the Tour; hectic as expected-(BMC) boys were great amongst this chaotic peleton…a few hills should calm things #tdf

Request to spectators: we a moving FAST on the roads and if you stand on the road and we hit you its gonna hurt both of us a LOT! #standback

Some wise words from Matt Goss which go unheard far too much. Just ask guys like Laurent Jalabert or Sebastian Langeveld.
