The W-League’s newest team sealed their maiden premier’s plate last week, the first team to secure the plate with three rounds remaining. Furthermore, they were undefeated, taking maximum points in each encounter.

Let’s look back at their journey.

Sunday, October 18: 6-0 versus Sydney FC
A double to Larissa Crummer, and singles to Lisa De Vanna, Beatrice Goad, Marianna Tabain and Melina Ayres to open their season in style.

Sunday, October 25: 2-1 versus Melbourne Victory
An injury-time goal to Victory was the only blemish as City ran out 2-1 victors, with goals to Marianna Tabain and Aivi Luik.

Saturday, October 31: 4-0 versus Perth
Marianna Tabain completed a hat-trick across the opening three games, with another double to Crummer and Lisa De Vanna also finding the back of the net.

Sunday November 8: 4-2 versus Canberra
The ‘home’ game for Canberra at Central Coast stadium wasn’t easy going for City, with De Vanna getting shown a red card. Kim Little opened her account, with goals also to Tabain, Crummer and Luik in their hardest match all season.

Saturday, November 14: 2-0 versus Adelaide
The scoresheet never looked complete, with Jessica Fishlock finding the net and Crummer continuing her outstanding season to join Jess on the scorecard.

Sunday, November 22: 4-0 versus Brisbane
Took 50 minutes and a red card to the Roar before the goals started coming, but come they did, with doubles to Kim Little and Crummer.

Sunday, December 6: 4-0 versus Melbourne Victory
First goal of the season for Jennifer Beattie, with Little adding one of her own, and the likely Golden Boot winner Crummer scoring her third double for the season.

Sunday December 13: 1-0 versus Newcastle
Lone goal to Beatrice Goad was all that separated the two sides, the win securing City’s place in the finals with plenty of football to play.

Sunday, December 20: 4-0 versus Perth
Couldn’t keep Crummer off the scorecard for long, who was joined by Little, Tabain and Fishlock in a complete performance against last season’s premiers.

Monday December 28: 1-0 versus Brisbane
Little netted the only goal of the post-Christmas clash, while Steph Catley picked up City’s first yellow card of the season.

Sunday January 3: 4-0 WSW
A double to Little, joined on the scorer’s sheet by Beatrice Goad and Tabain.

Saturday, January 16: versus Sydney FC
Still to be played, but City will be looking to keep perfect season intact.
