Can Aussie Bernard Tomic cause a massive upset and send Kei Nishikori out of the Brisbane International? Join The Roar for live scores from around 2pm (AEDT), following the completion of Lucas Pouille and Milos Raonic.

Tomic is the last Australian standing and faces a huge challenge in second seed Nishikori.

The tournament’s seventh seed has won six of his last ten matches and is coming off a victory over 2009 champion Radek Stepanek in three sets 7-6, 4-6, 7-6, having defeated Nicolas Mahut in the first round 6-4, 6-3.

Nishikori is seeded second and has a recent win-loss record of five apiece, having a mixed end to 2015, making early exits at the Shanghai Masters and Paris Masters, but qualifying for the ATP World Tour final.

The Japanese star is no guarantee to secure a semi-finals berth at Brisbane, with Tomic expected to give him a huge challenge in front of his home crowd.

Nishikori and Tomic played at last year’s Brisbane International at the quarter-final stage, with Nishikori coming out on top in straight sets 6-0, 6-4. Their only other meeting came on grass at the London 2012 Olympic Games, with Nishikori again winning in straight sets 7-6, 7-6.

The winner will play either Lucas Pouille or fourth seed Milos Raonic.

Prediction
Tomic will fight, but Nishikori is simply too strong and will progress to the semi-finals.
