Roger Federer, arguably the best player this sport has ever produced, is still fighting for that elusive 18th Grand Slam title.

If things would have gone in his favour, the Swiss would be a 20-time Grand Slam champion by now. He has reached three finals in 15 months.

But the trust, belief and conviction he had has been stopped by the man from Serbia, Novak Djokovic.

The Serbinator is the only villain for Federer right now. Djokovic is blocking him to add more prestigious honours in what turned out to be already a famed career.

For Federer to win another slam, somebody needs to beat this Serbian gun or he should have a bad day at the office suffering from physical issues.

Both things are impossible right now. Nobody can match Djokovic’s level in slams or even in ATP 500s and 1000s.

The second thing is beyond the bound of possibility, because he looks fit, strong and sharp.

If everything is impossible at the moment, there will be something to stop Djokovic. Whose going to be that million-dollar man?

Is it Rafael Nadal? Is it Andy Murray? No.

Djokovic has beaten both of them in his previous ten head-to-head meetings.

But who can stop the Djoker? Only one man – Roger Federer.

He needs to earn each and every point to win the war against Djokovic. But it could be done.

Federer fans could argue that Djokovic has stopped Federer’s reign in tennis, but the Fed has stopped the Serb on plenty of occasions in recent years.

Everytime when the Serbian has unbeaten streaks of 20 to 25 matches to his name, Federer has broken the streak. Federer thrice ended Djokovic’s winning streak.

In 2011, when Djokovic was winning all his matches starting from Australian Open to French Open quarter-finals, Federer played some effortless tennis and stopped the Serbian in the semis.

Last year when Djokovic was winning titles in US Open, Beijing, Shanghai and Paris, Federer ended his 23-match winning streak in London.

Age has been a big enemy for Federer. But he is doing wonders at this stage against the best player in the world.

In grand slams Federer needs to find the touch against Djokovic. Federer could possibly be the only man to stop Djokovic adding more slams to his tally.
