The Boomers highlight the Aussie action on Day 12 of the Rio Olympics.

After the Opals crashed out of the Olympics, going down to Serbia in their quarter-final yesterday, the Aussie men are looking to keep our basketball dream alive when they take on Lithuania in a quarter of their own. The match tips off at 12 midnight (AEST).

Is there any sport more suited to Rio than beach volleyball? If there is, it’s football, but either way, fans will be treated to some quality play in both sports today.

The women’s beach volleyball medals will be decided on the shores of Copacabana from around 11am tomorrow morning (AEST), while the men’s football semi-finals will demand plenty of attention as well.

In the track and field, the women’s hurdles are without Sally Pearson, and Michelle Jenneke has also done her dash, but the women’s 200-metre final will be well worth watching.
