Nine races will be run and won at Caulfield this Saturday, headlined by the Easter Cup (2000m). Here is my quaddie preview for the meeting, which is on races 6-9.

Leg one
You’ll have to go wide here to find the winner. I don’t mind Chequered Flag at a price. Star jumper but he’s very capable on the flat. D Day for Portman. Ticks all the boxes. Just needs to find his best form.

Pow Wow was good at his Australian debut, Savatag is 2/2 this prep and Top Of The Range is a deserved favourite. He should prove hard to beat.

Leg two
The three Team Williams runners need to be included, most notably Steps. Makes his Australian debut and does have a win over Johannes Vermeer.

Odeon has the form on the board and being third up he should be just about ready fitness wise. Berisha the other I want to include at odds off a Yarra Valley Cup win.

Leg three
Theanswermyfriend is a deserved favourite but to be fair, I thought he had his chance first up at Flemington. If Ken’s Dream ticks the 1400m box, he wins. Similar splits to Merchant Navy in the Newmarket.

So Si Bon is the horse I’ll be backing because his best form would go very close to beating these. Steel Frost was a touch disappointing first up at Morphettville but loves Caulfield.

Leg four
Tough tough race. El Sicario is on top for me but I do have slight reservations about him at a strong six furlongs.

Pick Me Up is the big watch. Tim Martin trains and first up from a good draw. Written Era is a quality mare who will be strong late if they go hard. Demolition is a Godolphin four year old that resumes and has been trialling up quite nicely.
