The most famous racehorse in the world right now, Winx, will be going for her 28th straight win when she lines up at the Turnbull Stakes on Saturday, October 6 at 3pm (AEST).
The potentially historic event will take place at the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, as part of an action-packed day of racing. Given it is the fifth event of the day, there is the possibility it could be delayed if previous events don’t go to schedule. The start time of 3pm (AEST) should be taken as an approximate guide only.
Winx is the virtually unbackable favourite to make it 28 in a row, paying just $1.16 to cross the line first. Bookies have Kings Will Dream ($13) and Grunt ($14) as her closest challengers, while Divine Unicorn is seen as the longest of long shots at $126.
Date: Saturday, October 6
Start time: approx. 3:00pm (AEST)
Venue: Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne
TV: Channel Seven
Online: 7plus
Channel Seven will have coverage of Saturday’s racing action beginning at 12pm (AEST), and concluding at 5pm. They’ll be flicking between Randwick and Flemington throughout the day but, given Winx is racing, there’s absolutely no doubt this race will be part of their program.
Check your local listings to see whether the race coverage will be on 7, 7TWO or 7mate in your area.
Seven’s streaming app, 7plus, is the best option if you’re on the go, can’t get to a TV, or would just rather follow the race online.
While some betting companies allow you to live stream horse racing if you place a bet, this varies wildly between bookmaker and race. Check with your preferred betting agency for more details.
