The Everest is Australia’s richest horse race. It’s run by a field of 12 horses, and here you can find all the information you need to know about each and every one.

The race is run at the Royal Randwick Racecourse and horses are entered into the race by way of slots.

Only 12 slots are bought, with six emergency runners also listed for the race.

Last year’s champion was Redzel and he, like most of the field from last year are back to run again in the 1200-metre race around Sandwich which concludes Sydney’s part of the Spring racing carnival.

Already, one of the emergency runners – Osborne Bulls – has been brought into the field to replace Home of the Brave, who was scratched prior to the barrier draw.
