Rosehill is where Sydney racing takes place this Saturday, eight races will be decided on the Parks track at Morphettville and afternoon racing returns to Moonee Valley. Here are my five plays across the three meetings.

Bet 1: Win – Rosehill Race 3, No.5: Noble Boy
This is the best bet across Australia for Saturday. He debuted at Albury over 1175 metres and got the job done there before going to Goulburn, where he won again and ran sharp time relative to the day. The debut win has seen three subsequent winners – the runner-up won on Goulburn Cup Day, the third-placed horse placed at Canberra and the fourth-placed horse won at Bong Bong – so there are ticks everywhere with regard to the form.

Bet 2: Win – Rosehill Race 4, No.6: Savacool
This looks like her race, but could I take even money? No. I thought she was heading to the Matriarch a few weeks ago but instead the stable sent her to the 1800 metres on Oaks Day, and she was a most impressive winner. She has failed at 2000 metres and beyond in the past, but she seems a much better horse this time around.

Bet 3: Win – Moonee Valley Race 5, No.5: Mintha
Maybe she’s one run away, but I just have to take the gamble. This Tony McEvoy-trained mare resumed in the Summoned at Sandown, where she was outclassed on form but ran a very credible race behind stablemate I’m A Princess. This is a clear drop in grade and depth, and she runs well second up. She’s Likeable, and I’, quite keen on her.

Bet 4: Win – Moonee Valley Race 8, No.7: Al Galayel
There’s a little bit of a query at the trip, but I like him against this lot. He had a few weeks between runs when racing over 1800 metres on Oaks Day, where he had three-wide cover before peeling wider on the turn and letting down nicely, but he was no match for Savacool. He has one failed run at the trip, but he kicked up to lead that day at Rosehill, which isn’t his go. I think the distance will be fine.

Bet 5: Each-way – Morphettville Parks Race 8, No.9: Diamond Tycoon
I’m surprised she isn’t near favourite. She resumed over 1250 metres here a fortnight ago, where she was a hard favourite but just forget she went around. She was back last in a slowly run race and had no hope of running on quickly enough. She can sit closer from the good draw and has only 52 kilograms, so if she takes advantage of the draw, she’ll win. She seems crazy odds at around $7.
