Two meetings to look at on Thursday, with my focus at Redcliffe and Kilmore. Down below are your best bets for the respective programs.

Redcliffe

Best bet: Race One Number 4 Innocent Heaven
Close up without winning during her Queensland stint but I think that will change here. Both runs at Redcliffe have been good without luck.

This time around, she has a positive gate to use, so she can find the front and if she runs up to her current form, she’ll be too good.

Next-best: Race Four Number 1 Ginatian
Best version of this mare and she’ll be winning. She was plain here last time out, but have to keep in mind she was wide for the last lap and the hard run just told late.

Drawn the pole, she has the gate speed to hold the lead and off her prior, she’s clearly the one to beat.

Value: Race Seven Number 1 Subtle Advice
He is getting on in years and I thought he had every chance last time out at Albion Park, but the stats do suggest he saves his best for Redcliffe so with that in mind, I am giving him an each way shout.

Forget his last run here three back. He led and it was just a stupid drive, really, in holding the lead and burning all his petrol tickets early. Hoping for a more economic run this time around.

Kilmore

Best bet: Race Two Number 3 Shady Hanover
The Tubbs-Sugars team combine with this mare, who can go right on with it now.

Frustrating little run of outs, so the camp sent her to Mildura, where she looked a good thing on paper and duly saluted. Has good gate speed, so she should find the front, and now her confidence is up, she can win again.

Next-best: Race Four Number 2 Shezagem
She’s been trialling like she’s going to win races this prep. Hoping that can be the case here.

Resumed in a pretty strong race at Maryborough and to my eye, just looked in need of the run. Trials prior suggested she’s come back in super order.

The one to beat if she does everything right.

Value: Race Three Number 1 Leotardandlace
This mare is getting better with racing and more experience under the belt. I think she will go around close to double figures here and at those odds, happy to speck her each way.

Beaten a fair way at this track last time out but was buried on the pegs and couldn’t get involved. If she can hold a forward spot from the pole, she’ll be dangerous.
