Two meetings to look at on Thursday, with my focus at Redcliffe and Swan Hill. Down below are your best bets for the respective programs.

Redcliffe

Best bet: Race Five Number 3 Mach Torque
Surely she puts this race away. Chantal Turpin trains with Pete McMullen to steer and while it’s been a while between wins, gee, she gets her chance to rectify that.

Forgive the run last Thursday here. Did far too much work on speed and tired late. If she leads and controls, without too much pressure, she wins.

Next-best: Race One Number 2 Quick Classic
Bursting to win his maiden and he gets his chance here. Had a suck run behind the speed last Wednesday and battled on well in defeat when second.

Drawn the front line this time around, he should have enough early speed to find the front and prove quite hard to get past.

Value: Race Four Number 1 Just One Good One
A little while between wins, but he comes up with a pole draw and could be dangerous at a price. Just had to drag back last Thursday here and couldn’t come on and be a winning threat.

The depth here isn’t overly strong and drawn the pole, he can run a much improved race.

Swan Hill

Best bet: Race Three Number 4 Kiedis
Confident he can resume a winner for the Hargreaves camp. He ended last prep on a high when getting the job done at Echuca as a short priced elect, his first career win.

That was in December, so has had a decent break, but looks ready to go based on a recent Bendigo trial.

Next-best: Race Five Number 1 Good Guy Mack
The draw is perfect for him. Rises a bit in grade and depth, but he’s racing very well at the moment.

The rub of the green didn’t go his way at Mildura when stuck on the pegs and not really getting proper clear air. If he can hold a forward spot from the pole, he’ll take beating.

Value: Race Two Number 1 Mach Hu
He’s in with a shout at odds. His recent runs have come at Mildura and for the most part, he hasn’t been disgraced, the latest run being on Friday when a close up fourth.

Drawn the pole, he should be able to hold a forward spot and at odds, 1×3, he’s worth a speck.
