Two meetings to look at on Wednesday night, with Redcliffe and Tabcorp Park Menangle getting my focus. Down below is best bets for the respective programs.

Redcliffe
Best Bet: Race Three Number 1 Rainbow Jet

This three year old is getting towards last chance territory but drawn the pole, he should get every chance. Forgiving his run two back when doing work on speed. Then last time, had the box seat and couldn’t dash quick enough via the sprint lane. Much better set up this time, should lead and prove hard to beat.

Next Best: Race Two Number 2 Bondi Shake
Hopefully it can be on speed domination. Led from gate four and was much too good when winning here last Wednesday, doing it in good style. Drawn better this week, he should find the front quite comfortably and from there, he’ll take a power of beating I’d suggest.

Value: Race One Number 1 Bridget Blue Chip
She has done most of her racing at Albion Park but her limited experience at Redcliffe has been positive, so I think she’s worth an each way ticket at big odds. Far from disgraced last time out in a 70-78 at Albion Park. Now drops to 64-75, drawn the pole, I think she only runs well.

Tabcorp Park Melton
Best Bet: Race Four Number 1 Aldebaran Zeus

Confident he can get back into the winners list. I thought he was enormous in defeat last time out. He was coming with proper momentum, ready to launch, but copped a bad check on the turn before coming wide and surging hard to just miss. Should lead comfortably and from there, can dominate proceedings.

Next Best: Race Five Number 7 Balenciago
Lightly raced trotter that is showing really good promise for Andy Gath and I think he can continue his winning ways. Clocked a fast mile rate from the front when winning here last start and that does appear his sweet spot, leading and dominating. Has good gate speed, so can cross from seven and prove hard to get past.

Value: Race Six Number 1 Heavenly Brigade
Has only had three starts but I think he’s racing well enough to suggest he is in with a shout here at odds. Had excuses when racing here last time out but wasn’t too bad in defeat from off the speed. Drawn the pole, if he can hold a forward spot, ideally behind the leader, he can threaten at a price.
