There are two meetings to look at on Tuesday, with my attention at Albion Park and Menangle. Below are the best bets for the respective programs.

Albion Park

Best bet: Race 2, Number 4, Eugenien
She looks pretty smart and I am confident she can make it two on the bounce. This horse really caught the eye first up when badly held up and charging late. Then this horse had to sit outside the leader last time and was there to be run down but found under pressure and won. If she finds the front, good luck beating her.

Next best: Race 1, Number 10, Hello Jolene Jolene
Her manners from the stand are patchy, but if she steps away cleanly, she’s the one to beat. This horse did everything right last start and the end result was a strong win. In the start prior, she bombed the start, so the first 100 metres or so will determine how strong her claims are. This horse just has to step away safely and she’ll take beating.

Value: Race 9, Number 1, So Kool Master
He is worth an each-way speck in the get-out. This horse has had the pole in recent runs and has been close up without winning. It will be interesting to see what they do here, whether they try and hold up, or opt for cover. Whatever the case, in an even race, he can run well at a price.

Best bet: Race 4, Number 9, Manly Mach
If you can forgive last start, bet up with confidence. It was a big win from her at this track two back when smashing the clock. On face value, this horse was plain at Penrith last time, but she did do plenty of work to find the front and knocked up late. If she finds the front here without spending too many petrol tickets, she wins.

Next best: Race 1, Number 1, Sugar High
This opening race does look to have only two winning hopes. This former Victorian is the bet and hopefully can get around $5 for her. This mare was lightly raced in Victoria but did win her last run at Melton. Now with Brian Portelli, her Penrith trial was encouraging and she only runs well here.

Value: Race 6, Number 1, Hellofalass
This is more of a 1×3/place bet, but she’ll go around at big odds and has the draw to do no work. This horse hasn’t had much luck with barrier draws in recent runs but that changes here with the pole. This horse should be able to follow the leader, get the suck run, and is in with a shout at a big price.
