Two meetings to look at on Saturday, with Albion Park and Tabcorp Park Melton getting my attention. Down below is best bets for the respective programs.

Albion Park
Best Bet: Race 9, Number 1, L L Cool J

He gets a great chance to get back into the winners list. Put together three wins on the bounce prior to racing here two weeks ago and the barrier beat him when second to Speech Is Silver. The barrier draw advantage is reversed here and with that, L L Cool J should turn the tables.

Next Best: Race 10, Number 5, Doug
His manners are hit and miss but if he does everything right, I think he leads and he’ll take beating. He ran from the mobile two back when having a second row draw. He is a much better horse when able to sit on speed and that is the set up he should get here, so I’m keen on him running well.

Value: Race 1, Number 8, Sam Is Perfection
I think this guy is worth a speck at odds. He ran here last Saturday night and I want to be forgiving of his effort given he drew outside the front row, dragged back to neat last and couldn’t get involved. He has the chance to land leaders back should the inside horse hold up. If so, Sam Is Perfection is a great each way gamble.

Tabcorp Park Melton
Best Bet: Race 1, Number 9, Kissmelvis

The draw looks tricky, but if he gets normal luck, he should be winning and winning comfortably. First run for the new stable came at Cobram and he gave them a spanking in such an impressive return to the track. He looks destined for better races than this and should start the night off right for punters.

Next Best: Race 4, Number 5, Im Off N Gone
She will be short but all things being equal, she should be winning. Was never a chance last Saturday in the Ladyship Cup behind Spellbound given that top class mare got control in front and gave nothing else a look in. She’ll sit off what looks to be a good tempo and showcase her class at the end.

Value: Race 7, Number 2, Sundons Courage
His manners have been a bit scratchy in recent times, but if he brings his best, I think he’s a great each way gamble from the draw. In saying that, be forgiving of his run last Friday night here where he had a flat tyre in a total forgive behind Rules Don’t Apply. If he can land box seat, he’ll only run well.
