Two meetings to look at on Tuesday, with my focus at Albion Park and Tabcorp Park Menangle. Down below are the best bets for the respective programs.

Albion Park

Best Bet: Race 3, Number 5, Awaywego

This three year old has found a very good race to get back onto the winners list.

Beaten two back as a $1.30 pop. He then went around odds on again two weeks and it took Class To The Max to run him down, who is a quality three year old destined for better races. That form is A1 for this, so keen to be with him.

Next Best: Race 5, Number 3, Slide To Unlock

If you were on her back last week, apologies for bringing up the nightmare. You could easily make a case to say that with clear air in the straight, she wins instead of a close up fifth, beaten two metres.

Drawn well, I think McMullen will be aggressive, find the front and look to dominate proceedings.

Value: Race 4, Number 1, Glitter Strip

Tricky race so having a throw at the stumps at odds via this gelding. He hasn’t been too bad in defeat in recent times, not helped by tricky barrier draws. Nothing tricky about gate one here. He can settle near the speed, ideally behind the leader, and IMO, only runs well.

Tabcorp Park Menangle

Best Bet: Race 1, Number 3, Strength Of The Heart

He looks to be getting with each run and third up in Australia, I am confident this former Kiwi can get a win. Attempted to lead throughout here last Tuesday and fought hard. It took a classy one to beat him, so the form reads super, he should find the front and prove hard to run down.

Next Best: Race 3, Number 9, Lanai

I think he has a class edge on these. He resumes here after a three-run juvenile prep where he was quite good in two runs but the third run was ordinary.

Resumes without a trial, but the form from those two runs does read well and he strikes a very winnable race to resume in.

Value: Race 8, Number 2, Robbiewillmakeit

I think he’s more of a 1×3 play at odds. His last couple of runs have come at this track and he hasn’t been too bad from awkward draws.

He now draws to sit much closer in the run if Callaghan desires and in a very even race, I think he’s worth a speck at a likely big price.
