Former Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich headlines a list of AFL players in tribunal trouble from round one games.
Pavlich, Collingwood’s Steele Sidebottom and Adelaide’s Matt Crouch face rough conduct charges. Gold Coast’s Tom Lynch is also under scrutiny.
Pavlich was booked in Freo’s season-opening loss to the Western Bulldogs on Sunday for a body hit on Easton Wood.
“You’re always concerned if someone gets reported. That’s pretty obvious, I would think,” Fremantle coach Ross Lyon said.
“I saw it but I’m not in a position to comment. I’m sure it will run its course.”
The Dockers star appeared shocked to be reported by a field umpire, while Sidebottom and Crouch were also reported on the spot in their respective games.
Sidebottom was reported for collecting Sydney’s Dan Hannebery in the Swans’ Saturday night thumping of the Magpies.
Crouch bumped North Melbourne’s Jarrad Waite head-high and went straight into the umpire’s book.
The high contact by Gold Coast forward Lynch that stunned Essendon’s Mark Baguley in the Suns’ 61-point victory on Saturday will also come under match review panel attention.
