Looks like I did.. Oh well.

Schadenfreude! The joy of fallen rivals

great article, best I have seen o n the roar so far. Light hearted yet ever so slightly truthful and politically incorrect!

Also, not one mention of ref’s or SBW (sorry to bring the big three letters into it, has he ever done anything worthwhile in rugby?).

Keep it up 😉

Schadenfreude! The joy of fallen rivals

Great performance. Particularly considering the awesome display the AB”s put up in the 40 -60 minute mark. Great to see the Wallabies counter the change of tactics and hit back themselves.

The defence as I eluded too earlier in the blog was on the money, great work. Great aggression, vickerman had a great game and thought he really pumped the boys up in the first half but felt that they left a lot of that energy on the field at halftime. Hype can only last so long before you have to grind it out and that is exactly what they did.

Quade was brilliant but restrained at the same time and Genia was as usual magic. The big mention must go to young Radike, how good was he with those mid-field breaks and try – Amazing and then include his defence and multiple hits in the same play he was a big part of this win.

I really liked our centre defence, reminded me a lot of the reds plus the defence at the posts of the rucks we were very eager. I think this is a great way to finish the season and move into the WC, now we can continue building with a mind to keep up aggression as it worked for us. Perhaps the Wallabies have forgotten that in the recent past but it looks like this team have realised that we need to be more than aggressive, we have to be fully committed to the idea of it.

Wallabies defeat All Blacks in Tri Nations decider

This rain is going to make it very very interesting. I think that the best tactical game from the 5/8’s and the strongest shoulders and enthusiasm in defence is going to be the most important aspect of this contest.

For that reason, it is line ball. I think the fact that Carter drives the AB’s around the park like a Rolls Royce is a big thing in these conditions against the (I hope) massive defensive effort of our mid-field tonight is a little ying and yang.

Obviously the game has to be won in the forwards first the defence of Mcabe and Fainga will be the telling factor. I read comments earlier saying that our centre combination was lacking a bit of spark but in the wet this is not a bad thing at all.

I would think that they will reign it in a bit and play tight which I think is the plan anyway. Look at our pack, quite big and the two centres – Straight running hard tackling guys, will be a lot of emphasis on the D tonight I think. My sort of game, nice and tight in the wet, the scene is set for an epic!

Not sure what you mean Geoff but yes I do like Rocky. Dont mind a bit of cement either big guy Adriaaaaaaaannnnnnnnn!!!! Perhaps you will need some cement mate after Saturday night.

At least you have the right idea (assuming you are a kiwi) of living in Qld, home of the Wallabies and the Reds. Can’t blame you though.

Disrespecting All Blacks is the only way we'll beat them

Good article, I agree that we need to be a bit more aggressive and provocative but not overly so.

Look at Henri yesterday saying that the Wallabies have never won a Tri-Nations then when he was corrected saying oh….i didn’t know that. He is either ignorant or having a go, I believe he is having a go.

Lets hope that this comes back to bite Henry in the Ass, on Saturday night we could then ask him when the last time we won the Tri-Nations was. Would love to see his response! You see when you are overly provocative it does have a habit of coming back to haunt you.

Oh and you AB supporters that think this article is a bit severe, put yourself in our spot, you guys cannot really handle 1 loss, let alone loosing the Bledisloe. I remember many years ago when you guys lost it and could not get it back, you were pretty much cannibalising each other and it was great to watch.

I do believe that it will not be long till we see the same thing again 😉

As a footnote, obviously it is good for us supporters to be very provocative which is what makes these games so great.

Deal with drama’s publicly at the time? This happened in November!

Wallabies Rugby World Cup plans in tatters

Come on, is this news worthy? This is a sports site not the Womens Weekly or ACA.

Good article Middi.. Looking forward to what the season brings and really looking forward to HK arriving on the Gold Coast.

Football's phase four is upon us

No problems Chuck, might just put my hands in my pockets whilst the grown ups talk. BTW, how do you know I am immature, I might just be acting my age 😉

Horwill has history in his hands for Brisbane decider

Thanks, never thought myself as faceless! Laughable? Glad I made your morning 🙂 Enjoy the game next week Chucky.

Did not see the game but am happy to wake and see this result. Great to see the “mighty” AB’s get beaten by this old but reliable style of Rugby.

This is what I enjoyed about the Wallabies win last week, that we were able to change our style to match the dour and old fashioned Springboks and still come out and win. Make no mistake, this type of Rugby can win a world cup, remember what happened last World Cup.

Bring on the decider in Brisbane and please lets not hear that it was not a full strength NZ team, that does not cut it.

Yawnnn!

James O'Connor was AWOL from Wallabies announcement: Here's why

Hi agga78.

Not really correct, although I do like the passion and zest Foster brings to the landscape I really have not heard much of what he has said about the SPL.

All my opinions of the SPL come from a fella at work who is a Celtic fan and I have to tell you that the stories I hear make me think that it is not really a league worth being interested in for an Aussie who could not care less about Scottish football just like I could not care less what happens in Uruguay.

The rubbish that gets brought up from both sides (green and blue) is a disgrace and that is where I stand on this.

How will Brisbane Roar replace three key attacking talents?

And Mike this is not really surprising but considering they are not flush with cash they better get used to it. Again, why McKay, why??

Not really AGO74, I think it is better to be selective of where you go, is it better than where you are? Not just with the Standard of football but also in regards to lifestyle.

How will Brisbane Roar replace three key attacking talents?

From what I have seen, European football is not really going to be happening for Rangers moving forward but good luck to him. Who knows who was interested in him, I could also say he would have been better off staying in Australia.

Obviously Holger does not worry that he is in the HAL and the standard of football is rising each year.

How will Brisbane Roar replace three key attacking talents?

Cannot believe that McKay is choosing Rangers, out of all the clubs in the world he chooses a club that is in Dire Straights and is not really known for moderate fans. For that matter Celtic are not either ;)…

He would be best going somewhere else, perhaps Germany?

Forget the Texans at your own peril 🙂 Great Offence last year but could not get the D wworking. This year they have a new Defensive co-ordinator and have changed from a 4-3 to 3-4 scheme. The likes of Mario Williams have now gone from DE to LB…

They are going to be prime movers this year.

Five NFL teams to watch this pre-season

Not a lot of love out there for Gits 🙂

Giteau urges Wallabies to start Test season with a bang

That will be it Piven, they can play but not for 80 against the top teams.

It was the same thing that the Reds have been doing all year, defence! This is what won the game against the Crusaders last time and again last night.

Very good victory, who would have thought it at the start of the year?

I really think Simmonds and Horwill should be the 2nd rowers for Australia, you cannot do any better than those two. Again, I can’t believe that we hold the title – Amazing!

Paint it Red: Reds add to Queensland triumphs

oh yeah, looking forward to the hills, go Evans!

Evans well-placed heading into hills

Great to see someone writing about bball. As a Houston fan I would be more interested in keeping Thabeet, he has so much upside, remember he is a #2 draft pick..

Keep up the good work.
