Dan Liebke is a comedy writer and former Nathan Hauritz impersonator, who has written multiple books on cricket (the details of which are all available at his website, liebcricket.com). He is a genuine all-rounder, equally inept with both bat and ball, and he steadfastly believes that cricket is the funniest, and hence best, sport that humanity has ever invented.

Fair call. Take it up with Tickner.

Introducing 'Football Code of Origin' in cricket's off season
Oh, I guarantee you that there are many, many Melbourne-based people who would describe Hayne’s pre-American football sport as ‘rugby’.
Introducing 'Football Code of Origin' in cricket's off season
I’m just the ideas man. I’ll leave the number-crunching to the ICC boffins.
What's the point of cricket anyway?
Rare, but not impossible. Important to have a plan to deal with them, no matter how unlikely they might seem. I see no reason to not have a result when there are so many ways to come up with one.
Sorting out Test cricket's tie problem
You certainly won’t see one once the ICC implements these solutions. Better to be safe than sorry, that’s my motto.
Sorting out Test cricket's tie problem
Yowsers! I was only thinking in terms of number of years since the last one. But you’re right, the number of Tests is a much better measure of how urgent this problem is. Let’s hope the ICC sort it out, stat!

Twitter automatically adds it if it detects that the poll is about cricket.
Sorting out Test cricket's tie problem
What can I say? I’m a traditionalist at heart. Keep it as crickety as possible when you remove the possibility of tied Tests from the game.

You’re in for a treat. Possibly six treats.
The partnerships that will save Australian cricket
I’d rather be a Rising Pune Supergiant.
The partnerships that will save Australian cricket
Australia need to be a lot more winning-ey before Australian fans embrace it. A shame, because I *love* a format where Australia are consistently rubbish. Much funnier than boring old cricketing competence.

Thanks Foxtel. Thanks Nine. You've ruined everything
To be honest, I’m staggered he hasn’t done something like this already.
God, I love Kohli.

Definitely way funnier than the article.

It’s surely no coincidence that Watto’s form slumps that you’ve noted have come in those periods when he wasn’t the captain. But now that we’ve established that he’s the best captain Australia has ever had *and* we know how he lifts when given that leadership role, as seen last night, it only makes logical sense to give him the reins and lead Australia to the top of all three formats.
Let’s hope the selectors come to their senses on this matter.
Is Shane Watson Australia's greatest ever captain?
That mentalist dude needs to be thrown out of the game.
