Macarthur FC captain Ulises Davila among three charged as betting scandal rocks A-League

Talk about irony……https://www.gambleaware.nsw.gov.au/news-and-media/macarthur-fc-and-sydney-swans-set-to-reclaim-the-game-from-betting-advertising

Oh goodness! We’d be silly to think this stuff doesn’t go on far more than we know, but this is not what we need on the eve of a super weekend of football.

You had me at 243!!!! 😂 😂 😂 😂

Crowd?

Yep, more like a 4-3 to the locals. Have seen so many wild nights at Coopers. I’m not sure any team has given more to the A-League than Adelaide in terms of drama.

Hee hee, love it. You forgot to mention the beautiful art of the choreographed shirt tug and the stray elbow that sends a guy into next week!

Fair enough, it has been a blast to see the rise of the Phoenix. The older I get, the more I search for the beauty in the game and not the competition alone. Heck, I’m hoping to Roar are back in contention next season!

How about every card, if confirmed by VAR, is a send-off and the player can be replaced? With a maximum of five subs including those due to yellow.

Well said, two hands fighting with each other at times.

Thanks mate. The supporters ‘happy’ with this?

A-League's 'good guys' winning the comp would be the best thing that could possibly happen - and nearly everyone's behind them

You deserve a medal every time you travel from Lumeah to Allianz!

Serious question. Roar’s home ground intentions for next season? Status quo?

Nice!

I am not a CM member and don’t actually support a team at all. I once supported Sydney but was asked to leave via death threats, the first team I really liked was Brisbane Roar and now I enjoy the Mariners’ story. Adelaide have always played great football and I enjoy seeing the growth in Macarthur and Western. As for the McWanderers, well that is another story.

With this breaking Network 10 news, should the A-Leagues approach YouTube as an official partner? Seems like where we might end up. 😔

Yep, a different beast, but just think of the beauty of a Mariners v Phoenix GF with Sydney and Victory wallowing! And next year, Auckland v Perth Glory. This is the A-League I want!

WesDay, are you calling for A-League Origin in 2025?

Grem is a nice guy. No doubt!

He sure did. Would be really interesting to see him in car now as an experienced driver. Surely Red Bull make sure Newey’s gardening leave is applied? I’d be stunned if they didn’t.
