Ok, yes they are on equal points but the BFs are ahead on points differential or something like that.

Rugby Sevens Singapore: Tahs youngster set for debut, Hoops out to impress, new skipper to lead Aussie women

The continual loss of players for Tahs is no doubt a reflection of how Tahs management have been running the business, now RA is in charge but they have some other probs to focus on eg Rebels. The whole is DC going or not is not very helpful. BTW considering all the ticket price specials Tahs have been offering you get the feeling they are struggling on many fronts.

Waratahs set to lose two up-and-comers ahead of Suaalii's arrival as NSW Rugby announce $4.8m loss

Will be interestng to see how close Sarah Hirini goes to rehabbing & trying to get to the Olympics.
The men will miss Longbottom he has become so critical to the team. Keen to see how the women operate without Caslick & how Ashby/Hinds combine.

A national comp would be good, the reality is RA & States don’t have the $$ to run more competitions.

Cheers – just adding a few words, waving the 7s flag

Rugby Sevens Singapore: Tahs youngster set for debut, Hoops out to impress, new skipper to lead Aussie women

Think it will be big weekend for both teams. I’m just keen to see how the women go with so many players out. Even though they are leading the Series jointly with NZ they have dropped off lately compared to NZ who are on a tear at the moment.

Some quality youngsters coming through but have to say it is not just Australia that over hypes its youngsters. In a lot of sports fans & the media are looking for the next shiny new thing eg player. Maybe we all have short attention spans or get bored easily & look for what is next. Maybe the issue in Australia & rugby fans are looking & hoping for that player that will solve all our woes.

The five Aussie young guns who should be celebrated - and the one who is ready for the Wallabies

Yep, hell of assignment. Wish we had more than an even chance would have flown over do like Wellington

Super Rugby Pacific teams round 11: Harrison in for Edmed, Lynagh, White out, Rebels change entire front row

Tough first up gig for Will Harrison against a Canes side in NZ that lost last week. Pleased to see Max J being given a bit of a rest. Anyway it all comes down to how the Tahs forwards go. Hunter Ward a tough little bugger, had a pretty good game against the Rats last week.

Can’t help myself, slight correction, Halse was selected in the first Wallaroos squad last season, but wasn’t capped.

Waratahs' trailblazing teen set for Wallaroos debut as regular quintet dropped for Pacific Four series

Just hope RA has a quality CFO & accounting/ finance team in place.

Rugby Australia announce $9.2m deficit, board member fails to be re-elected but coup falls over

What a complete and utter mess rugby is in in Australia.

The Wrap: Rebels young gun rockets out of Wallabies contention, and why Samipeni Finau's 'brutal' hit on Edmed was fair game

The Fiji ladies when they can’t impose themselves & get behind can get a bit frustrated, happens to them in the 7s too. Always important to keep the ball away from them.

Waratahs put 50 on Drua to claim FIFTH Super Rugby Women's title, playmaker sent off after ugly stomping incident

Well deserved by the Tahs women, they have been dominant the whole season, even though it is pretty short. Have to admit I was confident but not super confident pre game, the Fijian women in 7s & 15s can never be underestimated. The Tahs are enjoyable to watch & seem to genuinely enjoy just playing

Can’t disagree. So much opportunity that RA have missed out on. Not sure they have the $$ to do more, think if they did they would. Yes they should leverage off the 7s women & Olympics but they missed that boat after Rio. Brittany Mitchell from ESPN did a good article about the need for RA to get it together, as you say nothing has been done in the last 5 years. In reality the addition of Fiji was a result of government input & funding.

'Astonishingly good' teen making waves for Tahs as they aim to reclaim throne from Drua in Super Rugby Women's finale

Will be interesting to see how Teddy Wilson goes, think he will go well. Bit of a surprise that with Longbottom and Gonzalez out Josh Turner isn’t in, maybe injured. The women will have a real test, no ALF, Terita, Caslick, Smale

Olympics calling? Son of a gun called up for Singapore Sevens, Walsh loses gun experienced duo in test of depth

I understand RA want to wash their hands of the whole Rebels situation but still don’t understand how they haven’t been aware of the Rebels financial situation.

UPDATE: RA say they were blindsided over Rebels' finances, reject private consortium claim as administrator backs club's survival

It will be an interesting final. I always fear the Fijian women in 15s & 7s.

Reckon they are in with a good shot of winning. Getting their former captain Bitila Tawake back after her stint in Aupiki a big plus too.

Think you are stretching the kiwi link again

This is a good story for RA. A quality & recognised partner.
No doubt the loss of a PE injection has thrown a lot of RA’s plans into turmoil. I do recall the original plan for full time contracts was for the 2025 World Cup, always thought that was a bit ambitious. Sounds like Phil Waugh is toning down the wording & expectations. Always better under promise & over deliver.

A Tahs/Drua final not really a surprise. The score line from the last match up in Lautoka will be no indication how the final will play out. Should be a cracking game, hopefully with a Tahs win.

'It feels unreal': Drua and Tahs advance to Grand Final as stars bag semi hat-tricks

Michael Atkinson on the Stan pod In-line has covered the Reds a couple of times. Seems like some off field issues, including issues between the new coach & players, also a few staff changes resulted in missing getting some players from NZ who were keen to come over. Sounds all a bit of a disaster. As for the Tahs I hope they win but the Drua always worry me. If they are on and firing hard to stop.

Super Rugby W has been the most competitive to date but can anyone stop the in-form Tahs in the semifinals?
