'Must win': Canada’s victory exposed two key Wallaroos issues - but also a roadmap to address them
Tend to agree, I think the USA will be up for the game.

Yes think the BF pack will be up for it
The big Wallaroos issue Canada exposed - and how they're going to fix it in a high-stakes battle against the USA
Not counting the chickens before they hatch but hoping for a win. Am looking forward to checking out the BF v Canada forwards match up. If the BFs negate the forwards not sure the Canadian backs offer a lot compared to the BFs backline.

I understand it’s hard running a rugby business, maybe it’s me but the Tahs seem to be finding it harder than the other clubs. Do they have the right people managing the Tahs?

Always wonder are they getting what they want to recruit or just can’t get the ones they want.

While appreciating the intent, a survey of only 77 respondents is not a significant sample.
Where to now for Rugby Australia? Survey that reveals fans' staggering levels of pessimism
Front row recruitment has been an issue for the Tahs for years & years. Well actually the recruitment of the tight 5 has been an issue. No idea why. Paul Doorn has tried his best but can’t help but think he has been out of his depth. Would be interested to know what his KPIs have been, can’t think what he has delivered.

Don’t know. Tyler King seemed to be in a tackle. Kaka if I recall was no contact, she was stepping. Ashby was in a tackle. As for Lily Dick can’t remember her getting injured & going off.
The Wrap: Spare a thought for injured players as Super Rugby’s two rutting rhinos deliver an epic final preview
I’m sure there will be a review into the ACLs, 3 this year. Can’t recall the last ACL, maybe pre Tokyo Olympics.
The Wrap: Spare a thought for injured players as Super Rugby’s two rutting rhinos deliver an epic final preview
Always support the Blues plus a good lot of former rugby women in the team, off the top of head it has Kemp, Whitfield, Tonegato, Clydesdale, Penitani.
The Wrap: Spare a thought for injured players as Super Rugby’s two rutting rhinos deliver an epic final preview
Great weekend overview, lots of rugby, this has been a terrific Super Rugby comp, even as a down & out Tahs supporter have been more engaged this year with the other matches also. Lastly injuries in sport are so brutal, felt for HJH & Wilson. So many just sad stories & even more will come up with the Olympics on the horizon. I recall a photo of Ashby being shattered after losing in the Tokyo Olympics quarter final being consoled by Caslick, she has been working 4 years towards Olympic redemption, now gone. Tough bid sport.

Yep, that’s now 3 ACLs this year with Demi Hayes. There hasn’t been an ACL injury in the squad for a long while.
The Singapore Sevens threw up some weird and surprising results - that was except for the dominance of the Kiwis, of course
Agree we didn’t seem to attack & disrupt the breakdown. The scrum is a concern not sure if it is a quick fix. But it was a reasonable first up hit out as they better understand Jo Yapp’s structures & approach.
Wallaroos defeated by Canada as pressure turns on Yapp's side ahead of crunch USA clash
An 8 day lead in is not much time. The scrum was very, very average. The Canadians got over the advantage line way too easily. Wallaroos handling was a problem, too many dropped balls, go to a scrum and got pumped. But the backs looked dangerous, a few missed opportunities. But as we say a thousand times, good backs doesn’t offset poor forwards. Think it would have been handy to have had a game before this one.

Not sure if it is form, probably more being unable to show her wares as the Reds didn’t have a good season. Her name wasn’t listed as a player unavailable to be selected due to injury.
No ice hockey, maple syrup or poutine: Just a solid Canadian rugby test for the Wallaroos to begin the Pacific Four Series
The Wallaroos are an important opportunity & potential asset for RA. Apart from obviously the $$ investment in due course, it is to actually get the Wallaroos & players exposure to the non rugby public. The Wallaroos have some great ambassadors. That is the big challenge, Football Australia jumped on promoting the Matildas early on. Unfortunately RA has a lot of work to do to get cut through especially in the Sydney sports landscape. Could be wrong but on Sydney radio only one Wallaroo interview this week. They got great coverage on Sunrise this week possibly the best FTA coverage I can recall.
OPINION: It’s time Australia’s rugby public throws its weight behind the Wallaroos - because it will transform our game if we do
The Wallaroos team is probably about as good as it can get. The injured hooker Talakai & prop Cheetham would be handy. I probably would have rolled the dice & started with the youngster Halse at fullback but Cramer has been very good. I imagine the BFs will have a pretty comfortable win over the USA.

It’s a pity the Wallaroos with a new coach couldn’t have had a game before this one. Canada should be too good but you never know.

Reckon the men could be in with a shot at a medal at the Olympics but need Longbottom, Paterson and Lancaster. Interesting to see how they balance multiple play makers in Longbottom, Gonzalez, Dowling & Sargent. As for the women the loss of Ashby is a big loss but even with her if we don’t have Terita and ALF we are playing for minor medals.
