I'm passionate about sport, especially rugby league. I have been an advertising copywriter for over 20 years and looking to expand into journalism.

Sounds like you’re a Raiders’ fan – I hope so for your sake and for Ricky’s.

Should I ever tip the Raiders again?

It’s a shame as Ricky is so entertaining from the sidelines.

Maybe he can get a job as a touch judge 🙂

Should I ever tip the Raiders again?

Thanks for your comments Paul – they stink at the moment, but there is time to turn it around.

Maybe they can blitz the back end of the year, when players are playing for contracts.

Should I ever tip the Raiders again?

The Storm could be a good option – Bellamy has a knack of mentoring players and turning them into champs.

Jackson Hastings is rugby league royalty

Thanks for your comments Paul – not sure Hastings has the right temperament to bide his time in lower grades.

Too true

The NRL's top five coaches of 2018 (so far)

It’s was not working at all for the Roosters.

Terrible loss.

Napa improved in the second half – maybe up to 5.

Mitchell was the only dangerous one, but the one-out forward runs are killing them.

So predictable and boring play.

Sydney Roosters vs South Sydney Rabbitohs: NRL live scores, blog

Thanks for your comments Ron.

You’re right – the Titans won’t be happy with me.

Wouldn’t it be great if Proctor became a doctor!!

Dr Procter.

Appreciate your kind words ‘The Barry’.

Too true.

Good correction – my head must have be frizzled 🙂

Craig Bellamy's bellyache

Good move by Bellamy – I think Croft will come back stronger in a few weeks.

He’ll have time away from the spotlight to regain his confidence.

Craig Bellamy's bellyache

Yes, Tedesco will probably get picked on reputation and being the incumbent fullback for NSW.

Hopefully he finds some form over the next two weeks.

He is starting to show promising signs, but currently making way too many errors in attacking – he hasn’t found his rhythm at the Roosters and his involvement is low.

Origin teams on current form

Isaac Luke is the form hooker of the competition but he is ineligible for Origin as he is a Kiwi.

Origin teams on current form

Thanks for your feedback RoryStorm.

I’m working on a bigger article and snuck this piece in before finishing the other one.

I’ll endeavour to make all my articles more comprehensive in the future.

Hopefully there’s good reason to write some more positive articles about the Storm this year.

All the best.

Craig Bellamy's bellyache

Thanks for your thoughts Don.

Ponga definitely has the skills, but he might benefit from another year of first grade before being thrust into the pressure-cooker of Origin.

Origin teams on current form

Latrell Mitchell has the size and power, but he also seems to have errors in his DNA.

Whether it’s dropped balls or kicking the kick-off out on the full, he can be a fan killer at times.

But in a few years he’ll be an Australian rep. – just needs a season or two to cut the errors out of his play.

Origin teams on current form

Yep, if Pearce is in the team for NSW they might find a way to lose as he’s a bad omen for the side – even though he tries so hard.

Origin teams on current form

I think you’re pretty safe that Hayne’s representative days are numbered.

Origin teams on current form

Thanks Dr Chop, I think you’re pretty close to the team they’ll pick.

But Klemmer and Boyd Cordner’s form has not inspiring.

You should give them the chop 🙂

Origin teams on current form

All true Dirk Diggler – the Storm have had a pretty good run with premierships.

Every team seems to have a small window where all the stars align.

This year feels like a changing of the guard, but still early days.

Craig Bellamy's bellyache

Thanks Emcie, I’m pretty keen to become a sports journalist and this is good training.

The more you do, the better you get at it.

Craig Bellamy's bellyache

Thanks for your comments Peter.

The article wasn’t edited, but my last line was changed from ‘…this year the Storm are more easily blown away’.

Craig Bellamy's bellyache

Good team Tony, but it looks beatable to me.

Obviously taking Cronk and Thurston out of any team is challenging.

Not sure about Lillian, I’ve watched him closely this year and he’s solid but not a stand-out.

Guerra could sneak in – his form last year improved when he knew he was leaving Easts.

And he’s been fairly impressive for the Knights In 2018, but not their best forward.

Origin teams on current form

Forgot to include Sideshow Bob (Kevin Proctor) arriving from Melbourne.

Can anyone stop the Warriors?
