New England can’t run the ball, but Baltimore can’t make them pay if they can’t tackle in the secondary.

Baltimore D just looked scared of tackling Gronk. Being brushed off is never a good look, but c’mon.

Two key blitzes from the Ravens there–on the Edelman conversion for first and goal and on the TD run. Ravens should keep it conservative, especially on short yardage.

James–good point re: the past games, and it could well be a defensive battle. As you said, Carolina will need to be at their absolute best to win, but I feel that if Seattle get a lead Carolina might wilt and it could become ugly. Here’s to hoping it’s a white-knuckle slugfest to the end.
Morfs, you’re right. My mistake. You and your friend are in a treat I think. Baltimore versus New England will be an absolute cracker, and how good it is to be able to watch it on a Sunday in Australia rather than trying to sneakily watch it at work on Monday?

NFL wildcard weekend and looking ahead
I understand what you’re saying, but the point I was trying to make is that the role of luck in deciding legacies is hard to make sense of, and in terms of that particular superbowl play.
Brady had played his game and the win or loss was out of his hands. Why is his legacy decided by that final play he had no input into?
He puts up the same numbers and puts his team in the same position regardless of how that last play turns out. One outcome has him as potential GOAT, the other a footnote. It seems to me a pretty weird way to decide things.
