People forget Hayne is looking for Fame, not money, he has dominated in all facets of League (won NRL, SoO, RLWC) and there is nothing to be gained there, he has now played NFL (but its going nowhere)..the only thing left enticing is an Olympic Gold.. NRL fans should be happy he chose this path instead of joining the Wallabies because it leaves open doors to return to NRL…he has a much higher chance of winning a RWC with Australia than he has with Fiji and yet he is chasing this road..he is chasing an Olympic dream so his wikipedia can say

“Jarryd Lee Hayne (born 15 February 1988) is an Australia born Olympian and a former professional rugby league player who played for the Parramatta Eels of the National Rugby League (NRL). Hayne was also an American football running back and punt returner in the NFL as well as a gold medal winning Olympian with the Fiji sevens side”

p.s, he won’t qualify for Fiji under the doping agency rule, but we will wait and see..

Jarryd Hayne announces NFL retirement, aims for Olympic Games

well free KFC/McDonalds a week have been offered to them.. 😛

Rebels close to signing NRL star Marika Koroibete

You should take your own advice..

Rebels close to signing NRL star Marika Koroibete

yeah most players tagged as quick aren’t necessarily quick anymore, Marika is fast, but he can beat someone to the try line if he is 60m out, not so much if he is running 90m..even the kings of speed in rugby, the fiji 7’s team no longer has players that can ‘run like the wind’ ..i think that era is now gone, players now sacrifice for bulk since nowdays coaches prefer not the fastest player, but the one who is defensively sound..

I know marika from his high school days, yes he was quick, but he got faster..but I still won’t call him the fastest man in rugby..he is a bit like Doug Howlett (who actually was much faster than Marika in his prime), they both take small steps when running so its hard to find out how fast they are…some Fijian wingers run with long strides, one of which is Sireli Bobo, who at 40 is probably faster than all NRL and Australia super rugby wingers (bar naivalu) ..Speed has more to do with balance, if you cant balance yourself when you run on full gas, a small tackle can bring you down..one good example of a really fast player with balance was Rupeni Caucau..when u see him run, he does not look like he is going fast until you see him running past another winger..its that gracefulness which is now lacking in rugby wings in both codes..

In union in Australia, i think the closest to that running style (bar naivalu) was Speight …though he hasn’t been that good recently…. Aku Uate in his prime was somewhat similar, but not anymore though…

really? we all saw the negative effect of semi saying he will play for the kangaroos, all those backlash, not to mention when he was denied the chance to play State of Origins..so fijian’s can’t play SoO or for australia without controversy and you say its ” the most inclusive”? yeah right…

Congrats, he will rule it on the wing, he does come from a rugby union background..he only chased a league dream because it was hard for him to crack the 15’s team after high school ..he dominated league and union in high school..

Good luck, i wish other fijians in NRL follow suit, they are just not getting the respect they deserve, looking at Vunivalu and Aku Uate….Sisa Waqa already off to france..They may be too ‘un-australian’ for league but union does not care about that nonsense, eto nabuli also doing well in union..

i personally think moving a fullback to centre is a poor move, they need to move to wing first…Beale is a different player just like JOC was before he got ‘weird’ ..Beale can move in between 10, 12, 14 and 15 and he will still do well, Folau cannot..i like the backline by Samoan aussie, I think Kerevi’s built and speed off the mark is better suited at 12 (Nonuesque), he does not need to be another playmaker, we have beale for that (run beale at 12 on attack, folau to fullback, kerevi to his wing….and when on defence, play as the team named above..

Kerevi and kuridrani are both hard to stop when they run, it takes more than 2 or even 3 players to bring them down allowing gaps which someone like Beale and folau can use…running folau at 13 is silly because personally, man-on-man, folau is always brought down in the first tackle..a centre should not go down like that..just look at conrad smith..no one has ever brought him down in one tackle or even the legendary Mortlock

I think a centre pairing of Kerevi/Kuridrani will cause more damage to the all blacks than a centre pairing of Beale/Folau which the All Black might actually target as a weak link using Fekitoa and Crotty to burst through them…

Mortlock wants Kerevi as Wallabies' No.13

i prefer tuisova on the toulon wing..he is exciting..mitchell should go back to australia, brumbies, reds and force desperately need a good wing cum fullback.

Club rugby record to fall at Barcelona's Camp Nou

actually, ‘Nadolo converts’

Sharks vs Crusaders highlights: Kieran Read steals victory for the Crusaders

Fiji already has a player who is at par (or better) than Savea and its not Nadolo.. I always saw Nadolo as a 12..so do many fijian fans.. he is completely wasted on the wing for Fiji…If you want to compare a Fijian winger to Savea, Try Napolioni Nalaga..similar height (Napo’s 6’3, 105kg)..Dominated French rugby for 5 years.. is still domination at a level down (bad luck, that guy) and when one day he decided he wanted to play Super rugby, he signed for the shittiest team then (Force) but still managed to shine..Nalaga at Chiefs, Blues or Hurricanes would have changed the rugby spectrum….Coaches would start looking for giant wings….

But comparing Nadolo to Savea, Nadolo is the better player and mainly because he is all round.. he can play 11-14, he can kick goals, he can score tries, he can set up tries and he has a insane off load ability which Savea does not… the ONLY 2 things Savea is better than him in is his speed…and the FACT that he plays for the ALL BLACKS.

Nadolo or Savea? Who would you pick?

Funny how all the ‘sympathizers’ on the comments section are clearly ignoring the fact that he and his friend (whoever it was) made fun of aborigines as well implying aborigines piss themselves on couches all the time…. pathetic..

Footage emerges of Pearce simulating sex act with a dog

why are people shocked by this…did everyone forget Joel Monaghan? lol

Footage emerges of Pearce simulating sex act with a dog

Arnie Savea?, was Sylvester Savea not available?, heck Bruce Savea would do a better job..

Brent Pope: Arnie Savea to replace McCaw

“England scored their crucial try down Sailor’s side of the field.” and if i remember correctly, it was by a league legend himself, Jason Robinsoon..and also, australia’s ONLY try came through another league legend, Lote Tuqiri..

SPIRO: Sam Burgess is a league great and rugby journeyman

you mean with no standards?

Sam Burgess to play for Bath this weekend

Good luck, he was too weak for Real Rugby anyways …

what would league fans know about talent? they only realise what they had until its gone..

Titans winger Kevin Gordon forced into retirement with hip injury

what a waste, rapid and a good defender, not to mention one of the few wings good under the high ball..25 is too young an age to retire..

Titans winger Kevin Gordon forced into retirement with hip injury

lol NRL trying to rip of the “US DREAM” ..the World Series featuring teams from…. AMERICA….lol yeah..this will crash and burn faster than a boner watching a paris hilton porn..

NRL All Stars becomes World All Stars as concept switches gears

so the author is pretty much saying to bring back everything which made this game “Barbaric” and fans will start coming?..mate, this is the professional era, companies are more worried about being sued than anything else.. NRL sponsors will not want to dish out millions to players who get ‘badly’ injured during a game..the rules were created to protect the sponsors, not the players..

Three reasons NRL crowds have dwindled

he is probably bored out of both League and NFL…try aussie rules now jarryd (though fumbling high balls is a big no-no) or ‘real’ rugby.. Australia 7’s team could use a player like you at the Olympics

What does being waived mean for Jarryd Hayne?

Scotland is a 2nd half team so if Australia wants to beat them, they need to have a strong bench….for now, changes to make would be to bench Folau, Beale at 15. ‘FartyPooper’ needs to start in the backrow Simmons and Douglas at locks, keeo the same front row from Wales, and keep the same backline bar that Beale change…keep the same bench as today’s but because hooper would be there, may have to drop McMahon sadly..McCalman is a good player to bring on in the last 20 ..

Five talking points from the Wallabies' win over Wales

If Owens had refereed Fiji’s game against england and australia, the scoreline may have been very different..

Which Rugby World Cup referees tick the boxes?

A fijian player got 10 weeks for stamping with no actual video footage shown so far and hooper whose tackle stopped the game gets 1 week…how pathetic are the judicial committee? they seems to give big bans to Tier 2 players ONLY..

Michael Hooper lucky to be suspended for just one week

agreed.

What can rugby union learn from rugby league?
