The feast of Group 1 races finishes with the $4 million Group 1 AJC Queen Elizabeth Stakes. Join us before the race start time of 4:35pm (AEST) for live commentary.

This is a race between Contributer, To the World and Adelaide.

I’m putting Contributer on top. He’s beaten everything thrown at him this preparation and he was devastatingly good in the Group 1 Ranvet Stakes. $3.70 is too good to pass up here.

To the World will be better for that last start against Hartnell where he was beaten just over a length. $4 is a good quote but I can’t see him beaten Contributer, especially considering he goes up another kilo in weight.

Adelaide is my other pick. The Cox Plate winner and Ryan Moore comes to ride, hasn’t been out of the quinella fresh but a big ask rising 2kgs from that performance and facing an in-form Contributor. $8 seems fair, but I can’t see him winning here.

Tosen Stardom was the one who looked to have Contributer beaten before the champion showed some great sprint late to blow him away. Hard to overturn the tables there, but the runner has enough form to run a place.

Lucia Valentina rockets into calculations if the track is wet, the difference in her performance on a wet track is amazing. She has to make up over 2.5 lengths on the Ranvet performance, but on a wet track that gap should close. $15 for her is a good quote.

Simply can’t have Red Cadeaux in this, he should be running in the Sydney Cup as that distance has proved favourable in Australia. Has had five goes at this distance for one placing, no thank you!

The last one I’m interested in is Royal Descent. Was storming home late in the Doncaster Mile and loves a wet track – did she use all her tickets in that performance? Not to sure, going up 3kgs in weight so quickly will hurt as well.
