Four meetings are set down on Tuesday, when I think Kris Lees can dominate Coffs Harbour. Here are my five plays for the afternoon.

Bet 1: Each-way – Ipswich Race 1, number six: Jami Lady
I’m happy to be with Jami Lady, a daughter of Spirit Of Boom for Steve O’Dea. She was well backed when debuting over 1000 metres at the Sunny Coast, and despite sitting wide no cover on speed, she proved far too good for her rivals and was most impressive, running really good time relative to the day. I’m confident she’ll get the job done.

Bet: $50 win at $3.10 (BetEasy)

Bet 2: Win – Coffs Harbour Race 4, number nine: Fuji Fury
It looks like it’ll be a fruitful afternoon for Kris Lees at Coffs Harbour, a track he rarely ventures to. Starting with this gelding, who debuted in a Taree maiden and visually, the win was nothing flash, but I loved the way he knuckled down, chased and got the win. He’ll eat up the mile on the bigger track and for mine is a great bet.

Bet: $50 win at $2.90 (BetEasy)

Bet 3: Win – Coffs Harbour Race 5, number one: Petain
You’ll be getting even money about a $1.30 to $1.40 a pop. He just has to turn up to be winning. He resumed with a strong maiden on Newcastle Cup Day and worked home quite strongly behind Neruda, running a two-length fourth. The depth here is far inferior to what he faced fresh, he draws well, up in trip – I can’t see him getting beaten barring bad luck.

Bet: $100 win at $2.00 (Bet365)

Bet 4: Win – Coffs Harbour Race 6, number five: Waruna
Up to 1400 metres looks perfect for this mare. I was keen on her when she resumed over 1250 metres at Taree, but she just found them too sharp over that trip. There’s that, and Sepae is low-flying and was helped by bias towards those on speed. I like this girl up in trip, and the trials leading into the resumption were quite good. I’m keen on her.

Bet: $50 win at $2.90 (Sportsbet)

Bet 5: Win – Swan Hill Race 3, number ten: Magnum Opus
There’s a bit of depth to the maiden, but I like this Lucas Cranach colt. Both career outings have come on the Pakenham synthetic, on debut bumping into a likely Oaks contender in Yulong Meteor before the heavily backed Soluminate got the better of him last time, with a four-week gap in between. He should come right on from that, and up to the mile is perfect. Hopefully the jockey can get him on speed without doing much work and prove hard to beat.

Bet: $30 win at $4.60 (BetEasy)
