There are two meetings to look at on Tuesday, with my focus at Albion Park and Menangle. Below are the best bets for the respective programs.

Albion Park

Best bet: Race 7, Number 9, He Aint Fakin
I am keen on this smart three-year-old. This horse was far from disgraced two back at Group 1 level in the APG Final at Melton. Then this horse went to the Redcliffe Derby where he was caught in a bad spot from the wide gate and failed to come on. He has a good trailing draw to use this time around and I am banking on class.

Next best: Race 6, Number 2, This Ones For You
This is a smart filly and I am confident she can make it two from two this time in. Her resumption came here last Tuesday when she showed gate speed to lead early before opting for cover. It is just a matter of getting the sprint lane and once she did, it was race over. This horse will be hard to beat once again, especially if she holds the front.

Value: Race 9, Number 8, Mollys Secret
Things will need to fall into place for this mare, but should she be able to land leaders back and do work, she’s here with a shout at odds. This horse had little luck last time out at Redcliffe and while she does tend to race best there, she has the draw here to get a suck run and be dangerous.

Menangle

Best bet: Race 1, Number 7, Inherent Royal
It should be a relatively painless watch to start the meeting. This horse is a smart trotting mare that spanked them last week when leading throughout at this track, showing good gate speed. That looks like the set-up she’ll get once again. This horse likely goes around a short quote but should be good viewing.

Next best: Race 6, Number 3, Chiller Bay
It looks like the McCarthy team will have fun with this former Kiwi. This horse’s Australian debut came here just under a month ago when he was a short-priced elect and despite drawing Gate 7, produced slick gate speed to find the front and he was dominant. I am expecting a similar performance.

Value: Race 7, Number 2, Oh Daddy
This is more of a place bet or 1×3 bet. This horse is a Team Morris-trained mare that had the box-seat sit at Newcastle last time out and battled on pretty well to run third. She’ll get the ideal sit behind leader and hot pot Rocket Boy. If she does land leaders back and does no work in the process, this horse could be a sneaky chance at a price.
