Well said Ken.

I agree with your sentiments.

Quade has hardly been a constant … and I genuinely believe he – more than some in the squad – had earned a shot in ’23.

Time (and B Donaldson) will tell.

And in the ROAR battle of the receding hairlines, Christy is well ahead – but has some serious action in what hair he does have – was this a str8 out of bed podcast?

FULL INTERVIEW - Roar Rugby Instant Reaction: 2023 Wallabies Rugby World Cup Squad Announcement

The video literally popped up while I was scrolling through the comments… Go figure?

RA's target of a third tier in 2024 raises a whole heap of questions in desperate need of answers

Evening all,
Brett – what’s happened to the Phil Waugh podcast… can’t locate it on the ROAR video’s…

ANALYSIS: Is Tom Hooper a Test quality flanker? How he's fared so far and the biggest hole in his game

“I have gone back to the first Bledisloe at the MCG to look closely at every single Tom Hooper involvement.”

OK.

Now it’s official.

I have a man crush,,,,

This guy is good.

ANALYSIS: Is Tom Hooper a Test quality flanker? How he's fared so far and the biggest hole in his game

“There is no excuse for leaving a fit Quade Cooper out of a 33-man 2023 Wallaby squad. Any flyhalf takes a long time to see all the shapes and scenarios of rugby, and if he is the goalkicker, as Cooper is, his ability to steel his nerves to make kicks for a Test win and reach finals grows with his caps. Thus, if apprentice Ben Donaldson — understudy on the tee to Tane Edmed — is seen by the boss as a better tool for the smash and grab job of 2023, to trot on at 68:00 of a tight Test knockout with England or Argentina, Eddie Jones needs new spectacles.”

Harry.

Thank you.

Eloquent as usual.

Love your work.

Eddie’s Press Conference.

The prosecution rests.

'Give yourself upper cuts': Eddie furious at journos after 'worst press conference I've ever had'

“for goodness sake even Foleys had more impact .”

Really?

Seriously?

… have a wee think about that Gary….

Revealed: Foley still in World Cup mix after Australia A call up, Cooper pulls pin as Hooper ruled out

“His fury as Christy has labeled it ” and that is all it is….

Revealed: Foley still in World Cup mix after Australia A call up, Cooper pulls pin as Hooper ruled out

“Feeling slightly less enthusiastic about the factual and functional underpinning of the underlying motivation for the less than favourable selection decison” ?

So now you “know” he was furious. But you tell us otherwise. It is or it isn’t.
You are a paid contributor to the ROAR…
Whys do we have to read speculation….

NEVER let the truth get in the way of a good story… and an all expenses paid trip to the World Cup….

Unlike Christy you have eloquently stated ” So it’s understandable if he is feeling annoyed and frustrated”.
Respect.

Love your work Ken!

John: for the record Christy stated ” It’s believed he was left furious”.
Hardly a statement of fact.
Why don’t we ask Quade for a comment?

Revealed: Foley still in World Cup mix after Australia A call up, Cooper pulls pin as Hooper ruled out

But Christy you’ve already assured us that “It’s “believed” he [Quade] was left furious” by his omission. Was that before or after the Australia A team was named. And what/who was your source? Quade could be “believed to be furious” but still be selected by Eddie…???
It’s not like he’s actually said he IS furious – is it?

Revealed: Foley still in World Cup mix after Australia A call up, Cooper pulls pin as Hooper ruled out

So “furious” is what Christy – please expand or be more specific.

“Bugger…” can be reported as furious.

“G F Y!!…” can be reported as furious.

“”It’s believed” he was left furious” … “seems like” just pure speculation…

State it if it’s real… with a source. Please don’t tell us what you or someone else “believes”….

Quade…?

If you’re out there mate, can you please clarify how you actually feel/felt about being shafted by Eddie?

We the ROAR would love to hear something other than speculation.

TRANSLATION for non-NZ readers:

Sonny has used three negative terms in this very perceptive statement: namely “woudn’t”, “not”, and “adversity”
Negative x Negative = Positive.
Hence: “There WOULD be an Australian that could learn…”
It then follows that: Positive x Negative = Negative.
Hence: There couldn’t be an Australian who wouldn’t learn to carry oneself in adversity like he has.
Simple.
Duh!

RWC News: England face 'grisly, full-scale emergency', SBW stunned by Hoops call, Wallabies' pool rival on fire

“If I had to pick an Australian team, [Michael] Hooper would be the first person I’d pick,” said Williams.

No s*it Sherlock!

[Michael] Hooper faced the All Blacks 26 times.

Assuming his international career is now over, that resulted in 4 wins (15%), 3 draws (12%), and 19 losses (73%).

The average score when [Michael] Hooper took the field against the All Blacks was 32 -19 in favour of NZ.

With [Michael] Hooper on the field, the All Blacks scored more than 40 points on 7 (27%) occasions and more than 30 points on 14 (54%) occasions.

Show me any Kiwi who would not pick [Michael] Hooper first if he/she/they were picking an Australian team.

Tell me who could boast a “better” record against the All Blacks after 20 or more appearances.

Just sayin…..

WILL GENIA: Why Eddie had to choose between Nic and Quade, moment I felt Hoops was done, hardest done by duo

Here’s hoping Quade gets to do a Beaver… so much “no sense” from Eddie… sad but intriguing.

WILL GENIA: Why Eddie had to choose between Nic and Quade, moment I felt Hoops was done, hardest done by duo

Absolutely correct Sandra.
My bad.

'Not the time to experiment': Ex-skipper's warning to fall on deaf ears as All Blacks tipped to make mass changes

A few thoughts:

Dead rubber: No such thing between Aust and NZ. Every rubber is live.

No time to experiment? When you have the depth of talent, keep the talent happy. Keep the talent match fit. World Cups are a war of attrition. Minimise the risk of injury (refer to Australia’s current predicaments).

Keep the talent hungry. In a world Cup year, give everybody the opportunity to put their case. Too much talent is never enough (refer to the 5/8 depth needed in 2015 – just ask Beaver how things worked out).

Marshall is entitled to his opinion. So is the coach. One has a wee bit more influence though.
2003 was a perfect storm… shit happens.

The Wallabies are rarely easy-beats. That’s why we love them.

Beware the written off underdog.

Recent extraterrestrial tourist numbers have been very low, with Mars figuring very poorly in Dunedin’s visitor statistics. Those who have been visiting have been more interested in the Women’s Football World Cup – and anticipated ticket sales for the rugby this weekend are very low.

Carter Gordon is the future. For now. Just like all his predecessors. Why not just stick with the lad. Just for a change.

Who is the referee?

Cheers to all,

JOTS
