With only two weeks to go until finals at the Gfinity Elite Series, crosstown rivalries on the menu for today’s Rocket League action mean Week 4 will be one of the most intense ones we’ve seen.
Not only is it something of a derby day, all three matches will be difficult to call as well as we’ve got the top two, middle two and bottom two sides facing off.
First up, at 11am, it’s Melbourne Avant taking on Melbourne Order in a rematch of season one’s grand final.
Believe it or not, however, these two sides now find themselves anchored to the bottom of the ladder. Who will reignite their season?
Next up, it will be the revitalised Brisbane Deceptors taking on Perth Ground Zero at midday.
With these two teams occupying the middle two spots on the ladder, the result could be pivotal as to who makes finals – especially if Order win the first match of the day.
The day then finishes with a bang, as the Sydney Chiefs and Sydney Roar clash in a top-of-the-table bout.
Chiefs are still hellbent on redemption after they let last season’s title slip through their fingers – but they won’t have it all their own way against their significantly stronger archrivals.
