The true inventor of Bazball was born 150 years ago, and his records are still utterly bonkers

Summer has already been a cricket lover’s dream and it’s about to kick up a gear with the start of the Cricket World Cup.
The tournament will see 49 games played in 43 days across Australia and New Zealand.
If you have Foxtel you can be a walking cricket zombie, with a dedicated channel broadcasting the tournament 24/7.
Those without pay television still have access to all 49 games on radio with ABC Grandstand covering the matches on its digital service and Smart Phone app.
Cricket Australia will also provide free radio commentary for Australian matches, the semis and final on its website and live app.
Channel Nine will only show Australia’s six pool matches, one quarter final, the two semis and final, making a total of 10 matches.
Unfortunately, those who have Cricket Australia’s app won’t be able to stream live action from the tournament, even if you have paid and subscribed to the 365-day live pass. Cricket Australia’s website states that the pass doesn’t include the World Cup.
If you can’t access any of the above services there’s always live scorecards and blogs. There’s a plethora of options but the best sites are ESPNcricinfo, Cricket.com.au, The ICC World Cup official website and, of course, The Roar.
The Roar will also be providing match highlights of all Australia’s games, the finals, and key moments throughout the tournament.
