What happened? Premier League Matchday 11, 2019-20
Just remember that he hasn’t had the likes of Sergio Aguero, Angel Di Maria and Gonzalo Higuain holding his hand.
Ronaldo’s supreme reign over world football
If you were an actual football fan and we’re watching that final you would understand that Portugal really struggled without Ronaldo against a superior French team at home in Paris. Had it not been for A wild and speculative effort by substitute Eder, it would have been very unlikely that they won.
The things Ronaldo has managed to do with the Portugal team is nothing short of spectacular and shouldn’t be criticised by fans whose rival favourite player claims a status without merit.
Ronaldo’s supreme reign over world football
To be honest, Ronaldo being sidelined by injury during the final match isn’t even a topic of discussion, maybe it should be. He without a doubt lead them to that position and was instrumental in their triumph.
I think all fans have a favourite player Don’t you ? 🙂 and you can’t pull statistics out of thin air to back who you support of where your allegiance lies.
Maybe you should delve in to some research to understand why last years Ballon D’Or should have gone a certain way. Please do get back to me!
Ronaldo’s supreme reign over world football
Couldn’t agree more. Success is a product of more than natural talent in which Messi is no doubt gifted with.
Ronaldo’s supreme reign over world football
In every sport individual performance is going to be recognised regardless of how team orientated that sport actually is. It would just be lovely to see the politics have less of an affect in even the most minor manner.
The Ballon d'Or is losing its shine
He has an international trophy which Messi does not, is tied with but should have more Ballon Do’s than Messi and has dominated for three teams in three different leagues. Not just for the one team. I have outlined all of this in my article if you’d like to go back and have a little read I’d greatly appreciate that.
Ronaldo’s supreme reign over world football
Really well put, I couldn’t agree more that at times it was not the most exciting football to watch. He’s most definitely a man who will take the win at all costs. Even if it does lead to a bit of anti-climax.
The Special One needs a job
Happy you agree with me! I just struggle to believe your not the man for the job with silverware and what can by today’s standard be considered a dream 2nd place finish. He’s proved his worth in the English game on his arrival and return to Chelsea. What would make United or any other club different?
The Special One needs a job
Your definitely right and it can be just as controversial in the NBA where stats and wins are broadcasted so easily. You just hope that it won’t ever have and impact on the games itself.
The Ballon d'Or is losing its shine
Couldn’t have said it better myself! What’s your bet moving into Euro 2020?
Portugal will be the dark horse at Euro 2020
It’s always natural to be defensive of a home grown product. I am definitely in support of the A-League I just don’t believe the quality is necessarily world class. Your more than welcome to convince me otherwise 🙂
