Nth Qlder but Bronco to the bone.

That was my firsts time watching Galvin. He was everywhere in the first 25mins running and a good size boot. Sewer looked like the GC days where he showed up for moments but sulked away on the back of a few dud calls.

Five and a kick: Benji's Tigers lost to Penrith, but did they actually win in the long run?

I watched that game at the pub. Every time I looked up someone was behind the posts.

This current Broncos forward pack is a long way from being the best they’ve ever had - is it the biggest?

Ironically Hetherington hits harder than all the boppers. Still not many punters talk about Jensen either. Ave 50mins he gives 135rm, 30+ tackles and rarely misses.

Manly are right up there as well for size in their starting pack but lose a bit off the bench.

Baaahahahaha, I’m the big shot am I? Coming on here taking up your mighty 15 yrs in the rough rough leagues. Enough to start calling real NRL players wimps and dogs. Your hypocrisy is fantastic. However, i really only had one point that you would be offended by words and that’s a huge tick. CAPS AWAY!! 😂

15yrs? Is that all? I had 15yrs by the time I was 20yo and you can add another 15yrs on to that and I guarantee at a much higher level than your pub comp rubbish. I don’t doubt you were bashed plenty because on one hand you want to run with this “back in my day” BS and yet whinge about a FB getting posted on a perfectly executed kick chase.

“Getting offended by words” for starters, you have no where near the intelligence to steal the quotes from informed analysts who us that term in correct context. However, I dare say you’ve knocked it off from some shock-jock, mouth on a stick from Fox news. One day try read a book without pictures, understand your history and strive for an independent thought.

Mam is a big hero? The young bloke he hit is bigger and heavier than him. 😂
Who are you to call anyone a wimp or a dog? The toughest thing you do is sit behind a keyboard calling people names – like a real hero.

Are you seriously asking to change the rule for pressuring the FB on a kick? Yet some how if it was Walsh getting bundled by Latrell I think you might be ok with that.

I tried that once but them missus promptly reminded me that all three were hers. But I certainly mumbled some stern words as I went out to the shed.

Don’t tell me Mike is finally coming around? The Broncos were saddled with “luck” last season but it is a lot more consistency in effort areas that is transferable between starters an depth players. That said, Capt Pat has been enormous in the absence of Haas. I’m assuming that was another near 200m game last night?
Really tough on the Raiders too lose Fogarty. Did Pappa play really big minutes? I thought he was huge for the Raiders in a beaten team. Can’t feel sorry for that young FB but he can take note that the very best FBs have had those nights. It wasn’t his fault the Broncos were making 50m a set to put him under that kick pressure.

Welcome Mason. Way to jump into the deep end on a topic very few agree upon. As my avatar may suggest NSW misery is one of my great delights but never let it be said I’m not here to help. 😛

Your team, Edwards deserves his shot but you don’t pick 2nd best. Turbo is your No. 1. Crichton has to be your No. 3. I love Jurbo but that levels has passed him by nor do I believe Barnett is the consistent work horse you are chasing. Murray is your Lock – has to be there. I would start Utoikamanu with Haas. Yeo off the bench as your utility. I know it’s socially unpopular and unlikely but I would even consider JDB in place of Paulo because he tackles everything and can play big minutes if required.

'Attitude and loyalty surpass strength and speed': The Blues need to 'out-Queensland' the Maroons to have Origin success

Geez – Parra, what was that? Not sure how much NT Govt are paying Parra to bring a game up there but they might have to reconsider given the last few appearances up there. Both teams faced the same conditions but only one stopped playing.

From a Dolphins POV very happy to see Fuller finally get his recognition in the top grade. He was a 21yo sensation when he first came to Redcliffe. JMK – what a star. Admittedly an unknown quantity at the Dogs but arguably the best running hooker in the game. I was at the Redcliffe club last night. Not many had high expectations at kick off but the party went well into the night.

'We gave up': Under pressure Arthur rages at 'part-time footy team' Parra as undermanned Dolphins run riot

It seems Kevvie has adopted that philosophy. I’ve been waiting for Willison to get more consistent time forgetting he’s still just 21yo himself.

I was enthused to see TeKura run with gusto a few weeks back. Sometimes big kids don’t appreciate their size until well into their career.

Nah can’t agree with that. Slater had good reason to keep him sidelined last year. If that was the case they wouldn’t let Tede near the game either. If he is to play it has to be FB or possibly center at a stretch.

Injury-hit Maroons won’t panic over Origin selections but just sit back and laugh at Blues’ hullabaloo

I won’t say I’m on the bandwagon because I tend to want for more for those not doing well. The Wahs are going great and becoming a threat so I’ll treat them as such. It is great to see what they are doing fo the game back in NZ. I cannot remember such support in all their time. Further it looks like a fun crowd to be involved in and that will create a great culture for the next gen to follow while making inroads into union dominance over there.

When seventh feels like winning: Time to hop on the Warriors' 'bandwagon'... before it's too late

I have questions over the backrower more than middles. Nanai isn’t in great touch so far and Fifita is only 1 game back. I’d be closely watching on Kaufusi and Capes just in case.

Dunno if Qld can have both Hunt and Ponga on the bench. Origin is won in the forwards and taking one away doesn’t help.

It’s a big call to run Cobbo in the centers but that will be dependent on whether Hammer comes back ok. He still has quite a few games to get settled but that means Val moves to the right side.

Wow, nice get Wahs. Pennies can’t be surprised they are losing so many as they have nothing left to achieve. This is a big one though.

I understand the reasoning for sacking JD but why commit the next 20 weeks to a bloke who has no experience? Is Hornby going to bring these guys together? Talk about cutting the nose off to spite the face.

Demetriou facing sack after Souths' disastrous start with Bennett, Bellamy, Burgess possible replacement options

Fear and respect are close bedfellows but not the same thing. I’m sure there would be a line between players who are either side of the fence.

Pinching talent from other clubs only goes so far - building culture is far more important

I don’t think it’s fair to use the term “pinching” in reference to professional sport. Geographic labelling of clubs has no bearing of where their players are sourced otherwise we would have Moree, Moranbah, Dubbo and Bundaberg in the comp. Manly could not have started in the comp without sourcing players let alone be successful nor would Brisbane. Players make their decision what jumper they want to wear and the small minority would be within the geographic location of where they spent their youth.

There is certainly a bit of Smith coming through in Harry. If he ‘says so’ then the ref tends to follow suit.

He amped up the kick chase last season but actively looking for the tough carry is relatively new.

Wishart does Dad proud with match-winning try as Storm chase down Broncos after Reynolds limps off again

I was center but moved in 5/8 & hooker roles. I’ll tell people I’m the OG utility but really just got slower. Didn’t help that I was one of few white boys in my team so pace did become more obvious so better to learn to kick than chase.

Dragons have dodged a bullet by letting Lomax go early – but only if they box clever to replace him
