I agree somewhat, Butler has not fit with the organisations he has been with in the past. However, I feel like this is more the fault of the organisations rather than Butler, who everyone assumed was the problem.

The Bulls did not trust Butler enough to run the team, and the Timberwolves and Sixers both have had poor management the last few years. I honestly believe that the Heat are the best fit for Butler as well, however I do believe people were wrong calling him the problem when the fault lied with the organisations

Everyone was wrong about Jimmy Butler

I agree Josh, none of the players and staff at the Heat have had a problem with him, and they have all followed his leadership to an NBA Finals appearance. He has had a positive impact on the young players such as Herro, Adebayo and Robinson, while leading this team beyond expectations.

The point of the article was to address that all three previous teams he played for, despite the problems, were better with him there and have a history of poor management. Take the Timberwolves and the 76ers. The 76ers should have made it further than what they have, and the Timberwolves have done nothing without Butler there since KG played for the team.

All the organisations could not handle the harsh reality that Butler bestowed to them, and while he has surely been hard on the Heat staff and players at time, they see it as it is; constructive criticism and that he generally wants the teams to succeed.

Great article. I agree, the centre position has definitely changed. The centre must be able to defend the paint, as well as shoot from mid range or even three pointers. It’s an absolute treat to see a player like Anthony Davis or Nikola Jokic play, as at times they can play and run like guards. It is incredible to see how the position has developed and changed over time

The versatility of the modern NBA centre

I watched that game against you guys and absolutely was stunned by the way we played. It was a great effort from the boys. You guys have had an incredible year as well. If St Kilda get eliminated, I wouldn’t be mad to see Port win it

Ten talking points from AFL Finals Week 1

Definitely the most entertaining and unpredictable year in sports in a long time

Why 2016 was sport's best year

2016 was definitely a big year for the underdogs. Both the Cavs and Bulldogs had no reason winning the championships for their respective sports, but they were carried by great performances. I can’t get over how amazing LeBron James was in that series

Why 2016 was sport's best year

Thank you Michael, it has started well. Loved it so far! And oh yeah you’re definitely right, it’s pretty horrid to see the tricks some players use to get away with dirty tactics.

Finals footy is back, hallelujah!

That’s exactly right, bit disappointing to look on that we could have been top 4, but really happy with how far we’ve came

Ten talking points from AFL Finals Week 1

Exactly, we’ve done quite well for a team that has been predicted to be a bottom feeder again this season.

Ten talking points from AFL Finals Week 1

Hopefully it is a close game, could easily be a close one or a belting

Ten talking points from AFL Finals Week 1

Thanks Sven, I had major anxiety watching that final quarter, but I was proud of the boys for getting up. It has been a while since we have had some success, and it’s good to see the young guys getting some valuable finals playing time. Ryder will definitely be a blow, and it’s so sad to see him go down. He’s been valuable for us and played great. We definitely play a fast style of play, and I hope to see the Saints get up. Good luck to your Tigers as well, you guys played a good game.

Ten talking points from AFL Finals Week 1

Both the elimination matches last night were thrilling, and some of the best matches I have seen in a long time. West Coast and Collingwood is easily the match of the year at the moment.

While we played an incredible game, I worry that St Kilda will be belted next week. Richmond missed the tall presence of Lynch on Friday night, and with him back, I see them Richmond winning. Especially since if our game was a couple of minutes longer, I would have seen the Bulldogs take it with their incredible run in the fourth.

Ten talking points from AFL Finals Week 1

Great game, probably the match of the year thus far. Loved every minute of it, it was a tussle for the majority of the game, however Brisbane stood tall despite the nerves and managed to pull out the win. The Tigers really missed Lynch tonight, and just seemed lost at times

What hoodoo? Lions crack Richmond spell, progress to the prelims

Definitely need a decent bench and a scorer who is capable of leading the bench as the sixth man. It needs to be a major point for the Warriors.

I reckon they will try and ship Draymond as well, but as you said no team will probably be keen to take him. I could only see a team taking him who wants to get rid of some players themselves and are willing to take the salary.

I could see him getting traded to an average team and getting his contract bought out, and potentially picked up by a contender on a minimum deal.

Can the Golden State Warriors return to their former glory in 2021?

It was an interesting game. LeBron was unlucky to miss out on yet another triple double. I see the Heat struggling to keep up, especially if Dragic and Adebayo both miss significant time.

However, the Lakers cannot get complacent. They need to keep the foot on the gas and get this series wrapped up as quickly as possible.

The importance of the 2020 Finals to LeBron James’ legacy

I agree. All you have to do is look at Kobe only winning one MVP. Kobe should have at least 3-4, however players had better stories to back up their claim. I am not saying they did not deserve it, however in Kobe’s case he was mostly outdone by players who had greater team success (example, Steve Nash).

The importance of the 2020 Finals to LeBron James’ legacy

I feel like we are definitely on the same page! It is amazing that in Year 17, LeBron is still able to change his body and keep himself physically in peak condition in order to keep up his high level of play. I do see Davis/LeBron being like Magic/Kareem. LeBron seems prepared to pass the torch, and Davis loves playing for the Lakers and with LeBron. I would be surprised to see either of them leave any time soon.

The importance of the 2020 Finals to LeBron James’ legacy

Thank you Bell, I also agree with Pierce. This title is very important, and I could see him being right behind Jordan after this win.

Lebron will definitely need more rings to rival Jordan. I feel as though if Davis wins Finals MVP over Bron this season as well then that would negatively affect his legacy as well. It will be interesting to see the GOAT conversation in a few more years if Lebron gets another 2-3 rings and some Finals MVP awards along with it.

Sadly, as you mentioned, I don’t see him winning another MVP award. However, I could see Davis winning one

The importance of the 2020 Finals to LeBron James’ legacy

Great article, the warriors are in a very interesting position.

I agree with he pick needing to be traded and an improvement of the bench. Their bench is absolutely woeful, and they can’t rely on just curry and Thompson to get them by. I believe a trade with the number 2 pick and Wiggins could potentially net a Star from another team that wants to rebuild and start fresh, however it will be interesting to see what they do.

I think they need a sixth man who can score, in the vain of someone like Lou Williams. Their bench lacks fire power, and when Curry and Klay are subbed out, the Warriors will struggle.

Could we also potentially see them try and ship Draymond Green? I don’t believe anyone would want him after last season though, if he doesn’t come with a cheap price tag

Can the Golden State Warriors return to their former glory in 2021?

Oh yeah, I’m Tasmanian and know full well what jack jumpers can do. I was a little bit thrown off by the name at first, but it is definitely growing on me and relates to the state’s story. We are a small state and often overshadowed, so we will want to jump high and pack a mighty punch to be noticed, just a jack jumpers do. I’m sure I will be there supporting them every game I can

I was thinking that could be the reason as well

Oh yeah definitely, if Kawhi was with the Raptors this year, they would for sure be in the Finals. I could have seen them going back to back

Where to now for the Clippers?

No worries!

Yeah I agree, heat are passionate and the Lakers definitely will not sweep. The injuries to Dragic and Bam will hinder the Heat’s chances for sure.

Anthony Davis, LeBron James and the Lakers show out in Game 1 to take an early series lead

That’s exactly right, the name may be hard to take in at the moment, but fans will eventually come to terms with it. All that matters will be the team’s performance and staff, and their play will overshadow the name in years to come

Tasmanian NBL team name unveiled

The video was a bit cringe to be honest. However, I feel they were definitely pandering towards the kids.

They were pretty much damned no matter what name they picked, because people were set on either the Devils or the Tigers. The jack jumper is definitely an odd choice, but I am glad they went for an animal native to Australia and specifically Tasmania
