Horrible decision by the Bunker. Tigers shouldn’t panic. It’s gonna be a long rebuild and there will be tough results. Dogs and Knights next week. Benji’s seat isn’t unsafe, but he’d like a win in one of those two games
Koroisau limps out of Tigers' defeat to Broncos after being cruelled by the harshest Bunker call of the year
I couldn’t bring myself to see the replay because that was so close to a broken leg or a serious knee injury. Nothing, and I mean nothing good comes out of that attempted “tackle”
Storm slaughter second-rate Souths as 'a myriad of errors' hammer the final nail into Demetriou's coaching coffin
People talk about players being protected species. I’d say Milne is the most protected player in the NRL. With a joke of a tackling technique where most of his high tackles/cannonballs are with intent, he’s lucky not to have been sent off more often.

The Roar's NRL expert tips and predictions, Round 8: Don't forget to put your entries in early for Anzac Day!
Oh my God what a small world DP. My hometown is in Mymensingh/Kishoreganj.
The Roar's NRL expert tips and predictions, Round 8: Don't forget to put your entries in early for Anzac Day!
Firstly, Lest We Forget. For me personally, ANZAC Day gives me a time to reflect when my parents had to flee Bangladesh temporarily (then East Pakistan) during the nations fight for independence where one of the worst genocides post WWII occured before they went back post independence. Now onto my tips
Wahs will be fired up and get back to winning ways on home soil, but the Titans will scrap hard for at least 60 mins
I’m gonna be bold. Draw even after golden point at Allianz.
Storm to get it done with relative ease and finally win by double digit points
Manly will run riot over a hapless Eels outfit that aren’t helping the Commbank Stadium bullies calls
Broncos with some huge ins despite losing Cobbo and Mam. They should win comfortably
Panthers should win in Townsville with the side they’ve got. But it ain’t always easy to go there and win over the past 24 months for a non QLD team/Sharks.
Phins will be up for it in front of a big crowd and entertain their fans to what I believe will be an easy win. AOB, time to start cleaning up your office soon if you don’t get the results quick enough.
Raiders will fight, but the Sharks to break their GIO Stadium hoodoo

Stoinis has always been an outstanding cricketer for Australia in T20 cricket. A little blip in the BBL and SAT20 doesn’t change that. Top knock at Chepauk. Extremely difficult to defeat CSK in Chepauk, but credit to Stoinis for doing it with the rest of the top order doing absolutely sweet FA. Also proves how terrible of a bowler Mustafizur Rahman is if the pitch doesn’t grip
Cricket Australia backflips on Bartlett's county stint, Stoinis slams century to break IPL drought
Was hyping him up for the past 12-18 months and he goes onto do this. He’s let himself and a lot of people down. In this day and age with so much information provided to players about dos and do nots, this shouldn’t be happening
Sharks star stood down after positive test as police charge half for DUI with suspended licence
Congrats on a wonderful career Dale. Outstanding player who showed that hard work will always take you far. No mean feat to be dubbed the greatest player to coach by Craig Bellamy. Huge shame never to have represented Australia. An even bigger joke only to have played five games for NSW.
'There were no decisions to make': Skipper drops retirement bombshell after doctors' grave warnings
That makes Slater’s job of choosing QLD fullback a lot easier but who would he go for as second choice now? Brimson or Savage?
NRL Round 8 Team Lists Late Mail: Injury causes Dragons reshuffle, Cleary back, Broncos' mixed news, Eels blood new half
I know I’ve always praised Katoa but my god is it hard not to. He’s only turned 20 two months ago and has a WC quarter final and over 20 appearances in his sporting resume, alongside being an Australian schoolboy. There’s no doubt he’s far more talented than his brother Sione, but his experience and guidance must have helped a lot. Can’t wait to see Isaiya Katoa continue to blossom as a player. Give him the keys to unlock the defensive doors and he’ll deliver
'We gave up': Under pressure Arthur rages at 'part-time footy team' Parra as undermanned Dolphins run riot
Arteta got it horribly wrong by trying to dominate them. Should’ve played a 4-4-2 low block and hit them on the counter ala City away. That being said, quarter final an outstanding result considering the club had not made UCL for six seasons in a row
What the UCL?!: English football's nightmare night as City and Arsenal both OUT after penalty shocker
Wow. I think this may have a huge ripple effect on the NRL transfer market. As good as the Panthers juniors system is, losing a highly respected/senior player is going to be massive. Will be interesting to see what Penrith do in terms of recruitment now. Great signing by the Warriors
Fisher-Harris on his way out of Panthers to join NRL rivals after 'one of the game's elite players' gets early release
Mikel has to play the same way he did against Pep a few weeks ago. And for God sake, never play Jesus as a striker again. Either left wing or bugger off. Zinchenko is no longer good enough for the club, especially at left back
UCL Preview: A blockbuster in Bavaria, Real troubles for Man City and PSG revisit the scene of the crime
Just to add on MaxTruck’s point on Teo, he’s got a brilliant understanding of the game which is rare for forwards. Jokes aside, I saw him prepare the Redcliffe QCup boys in the Dolphins doco on Stan. Just through a few clips, I get the feeling that he’s been a massive influence on Val Te Whare
Wayne Bennett is back on top ahead of Brisbane battle - and he'll be happy to let the Souths chatter continue
Roosters to win. I don’t think Newcastle have ever won a Thursday night game at home so expect that streak to continue.
Storm with ease as I think Bulldogs have too many outs + Crichton is not a FB
Phins have a settled halves pairing and two extremely quick players in their back five so backing them in a tight game
Wahs to beat Manly
Cowboys to eke out a victory against Parra
Sharks to get it done comfortably against Rabbits
Tigers to get back to winning ways at Campbelltown
Raiders to thrash the Titans
The Roar's NRL expert tips and predictions: Round 6 - battle for Brisbane, Roosters written off, will Demetriou survive?
Saliba is in the top 5 centre backs in the world for me. Look at how well he handled Haaland. I think he can handle Kane like he did last season.
For me, the key battle is Musiala v White. Keep him quiet and Bayern will not have as much of a threat up front as they would like
I think Arteta hasn’t had luck go his way
Olympiacos second leg – they get an extra half hr where away goals counted + Auba misses a sitter
Villarreal 2021 – losing to Emery in Europa is nothing to be ashamed about. That being said, losing Tierney during warmups in second leg hurt the thin squad + Auba unfortunately hits the crossbar which would’ve leveled things on aggregate
Sporting 2023 – the less said about that night, the better. Cost the Gunners the Premier with Saliba and Tomiyasu out for the rest of the season and forcing Arteta to play Rob Holding in a title race (sorry Rob, but your playing style never suited Artetaball)
I think having finally gotten some luck in Europe and winning a shootout, the sky is the limit for this playing group in Europe this season. That being said, I think EPL is still the main priority for Arteta and the playing group while they’re not quite the best team in Europe just yet.
Resurgent German is key as Arsenal ready to pay back Bayern for seven years of Champions League pain
Absolutely penalties are goals too. But Kane is the last of the Gunners worries. I would say the battle between Musiala v White or Rice v Kimmich (if Kimmich is playing CM instead of right back) are far bigger threats for Arteta. Gonna be interesting to see how Arteta approaches it with his unusual style of team talks.
UCL Preview: A heavyweight clash in Madrid, PSG's open wounds and Kane's return to his favourite hunting ground
Mike I think it’s unfair to call the Emirates a happy hunting ground of his. Most of the time in NLD games at Emirates, Kane would ghost around before Spurs would get a dodgy penalty that he’d convert.
UCL Preview: A heavyweight clash in Madrid, PSG's open wounds and Kane's return to his favourite hunting ground
Brighton booing Ben White and Trossard. Hope they enjoyed the early ride home after Trossard scored. Bring on Bayern!
Arsenal, Man City pile the pressure on Liverpool in EPL title race for the ages
If Southgate doesn’t go with egos, this is his best XI to start during Euros and get them the trophy
Pickford
White, Tomori, Stones, Shaw (England have bugger all options at LB)
Rice, Bellingham
Saka, Foden, Grealish
Watkins
We all know the England XI will be vastly different because Southgate has his favourites and it’ll cost England another trophy by playing Maguire and Kane and expecting to win a trophy.
Phil Foden has earned the opportunity to start for England at the Euros
Storm rarely lose at AAMI Park. They get the job done vs Broncos
Roosters got exposed last week but the Dogs don’t have enough in attack to get it done. Roosters for me.
Chopping and changing halves is a sign of desperation for the Knights. That being said, if they’re forward pack can step up then the Knights win
Up the Wahs
Manly turn up on home soil most times and this is a good chance to defeat the Panthers. But the visitors still have a solid team so gotta back the Panthers
Benji coaching against his brother and mentor makes for a lovely story. Phins by 6
Cowboys to hammer Titans
Golden chance for Canberra to get back to winning ways with the Eels missing Moses
The Roar's NRL expert tips and predictions, Round 5: Tigers on the hunt for hat-trick, Souths face tough test, Storm rising
I thought it was because they don’t let blokes punch on in clubs while drunk in the US and Stokes didn’t want to risk Bristol 2.0 happening
Bazball comes first over hit and giggle: Stokes pulls out of T20 World Cup to focus on Tests
Outstanding from Arteta. Outfoxed Pep tactically as City did bugger all with that amount of possession. Jesus wasted a few chances. Will that end up costing the Gunners the league? Let’s wait and see.
'Genius football moment': Scattergun Salah fires Liverpool into top spot as City grind out draw with Arsenal
Ange’s stubbornness has cost Sp*rs a few games. Overloading the midfield when the Gunners have Partey and Rice as a double pivot showed a lack of tactical nous, but that’s always been his mantra. Second half was nervy, but a win is all that matters. Wolves, Fulham and Spurs. Hopefully CFG drop points in one of these three.
Arsenal survive almighty scare from Ange's Spurs to stay on top as City cut down Forest
