I guess we’ll have to wait and see Tony. But it is an impressive resume for a young half having already beaten Penrith in Penrith. Dodd was linked with the Tigers last yr but it didn’t happen. He’s going to a club in turmoil. I got a feeling he may have known that a big name coach was replacing Demetriou. Looking forward to the young Pom testing himself out in the NRL

Fifita saw houses in Glenfield out of all places were selling at close to 1.5 and went screw that I’m not taking a pay cut for this
Roosters chief stunned by HUGE Fifita backflip but Gus says they've 'dodged a bullet'
How was Bullemor (sorry if I got the wrong player) not binned for that hip drop on Farnworth? That was a blatant bin style tackle. Another gutsy win for a new team without their star fullback and star prop. Wayne just keeps on getting it done. Clear favourites against Tigers next week.
NSW turmoil continues as Turbo's hamstring goes again and Manly chuck away another lead in Dolphins disaster
Pandya has got great T20 numbers for an all rounder, striking it close to 140 with the bat and going at an economy below 8.2 with the ball.
My personal favourite Pandya innings with bat and ball.
Vs Bangladesh Asia Cup 2016 – India 4/97 in the 15th over. Pandya smacks 31 off 18 on a sluggish track to get India to 166. 1/23 off four overs with the ball
Vs England 2018 3rd T20 – 4/38 with the ball, dismissing Hales, Morgan, Stokes and Bairstow on a road and keeping England to 198 on a surface where 210 ish seemed par. Hits 33 off 14 to win India the game in the 19th over.
Vs England 1st T20 2022 – 51 off 33 with the bat to get India close to 200. 4/33 with the ball to help India thrash the Poms.
Vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2022 – 3/25 with the ball to reduce Pakistan to 147 all out. Walks in at 6 with India 4/89 in the 15th over. Smacks 33 off 17 to help India win in the final over.
Vs Pakistan World Cup 2022 – 3/30 with the ball as he helps India restrict Pakistan to below 160. 40 off 37 with the bat and helped build a partnership with Kohli after India were 4/31 in the 7th over.
These are just his all round performances. There are times he’s gone bonkers with the bat for India only for the opposition to win games. Pandya can have as many bad games in the IPL as he wants. When it comes to T20 Internationals, he turns it up

I’m not dissing the Dogs here at all, but they did beat Melbourne in Melbourne last year and had some confidence of that leading into this year’s game. Last yr was an annihilation in Pantherland. If it’s tight at half time, anything can happen. But I feel the Panthers will unfortunately run away with it late

India picked the wrong Sharma for their squad. As for Abhishek Sharma in general, he’s a gun white ball player, basically Yuvraj 2.0. He was highly touted as a kid in Punjab cricket circles, higher than Gill. His career is finally starting to flourish so extremely happy for him

Rohit – got no idea as he crumbles under pressure as skipper. If Mumbai’s domestic team were to play a first class game tomorrow, he wouldn’t be captaining Mumbai.
As for Pandya, he’s had a few good games against Pakistan and played a good knock against England in the 22 semi final. Takes wickets in the middle overs which India will need.

Nikorima been great and I hope the Phins keep him for another year or two to guide Katoa.
Ideally I’d love a close game TB. I’m excited what year two of the Ciraldo Project offers, but Penrith with their full strength spine at home goes one way for me unfortunately. But who knows? If it starts raining, we know the Panthers have struggled at times in wet weather footy

Real winning late is football heritage. As for Bayern, well the curse is well and truly alive. And it’ll stay for England at the Euros if he starts for them.

Nikorima masterclass at Suncorp. Phins to win
Panthers to thrash the Bulldogs
Broncos to beat the Moses and Gutholess Eels
Knights should win this. Tigers need their whole first choice spine to turn up to win so Knights with ease
Dragons showed some fight vs Sharks and with the Souths team struck with so many injuries, Dragons to win in the wet
Storm will miss Hughes, but this is the perfect game for Munster to step up + Storm haven’t lost at home since rd 2 2023

Starc was class last night. Got his length right most of the time while being punished if he slightly got it wrong which is the norm at Wankhede. Still pumped from KKR’s win last night, their first against Adani’s cousins at Wankhede since 2012. Think this could be the game that gets Starc firing again with the white ball and get KKR their third IPL title
Aussies leapfrog India in rankings despite neither team playing, Starc returns to form in IPL
It’s a huge shame that it’s taken for a player to pass away for an inquiry to happen. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that sports teams handle their environment differently say to corporate or a trade environment, but the lack of common sense at times is baffling. That being said, hopefully we never see a situation like this even remotely occur again.

Moving to Bunnerong Road/Fitzgerald Avenue was the beginning of their downfall. Add in a lack of communication from many (including Demetriou) and this was coming
'Success hasn't been forthcoming': Souths sack Demetriou after fractured board eventually decides time's up
Bellamy isn’t fooling anyone. Wishart named on the wing while Faalogo, Anderson and Ieremia are on the reserves list. Surprised to see Koroisau still on the Tigers team list
Round 9 Team Lists Late Mail: Benji makes surprise call on Koroisau, Roosters trio OUT as Broncos sweat on Haas
Correct on Warner. He injured his hand while fielding and still isn’t fit.
Australia T20 World Cup squad: Smith to be snubbed, Fraser-McGurk's IPL fireworks ignored as selectors take safe options
Cummins hits a hard back of a length nowadays in white ball cricket which worked in India during the WC and I’d assume it’d do just as well in the Windies. Starc and Hazlewood both have good records in T20I games while Ellis is a great backup to have. As for Stoinis, he was handy on surprisingly slower wickets in the SAT20.
Australia T20 World Cup squad: Smith to be snubbed, Fraser-McGurk's IPL fireworks ignored as selectors take safe options
Nothing wrong with the squad that’s set to be chosen. McGurk would be exposed heavily on slower wickets in the Windies. Blind slogging on roads in this joke of an IPL season ain’t gonna get you far. The players that are set to be in the squad have done it at T20I level. Finally the selectors get rid of Smith from the T20 side
Head, Warner, Marsh, Maxwell, Stoinis, David, Wade, Cummins, Starc/Ellis, Zampa, Hazlewood

Ange’s stubbornness has cost Sp*rs a few games. Overloading the midfield when the Gunners have Partey and Rice as a double pivot showed a lack of tactical nous, but that’s always been his mantra. Second half was nervy, but a win is all that matters. Wolves, Fulham and Spurs. Hopefully CFG drop points in one of these three.
Arsenal survive almighty scare from Ange's Spurs to stay on top as City cut down Forest
Horrible decision by the Bunker. Tigers shouldn’t panic. It’s gonna be a long rebuild and there will be tough results. Dogs and Knights next week. Benji’s seat isn’t unsafe, but he’d like a win in one of those two games
Koroisau limps out of Tigers' defeat to Broncos after being cruelled by the harshest Bunker call of the year
I couldn’t bring myself to see the replay because that was so close to a broken leg or a serious knee injury. Nothing, and I mean nothing good comes out of that attempted “tackle”
Storm slaughter second-rate Souths as 'a myriad of errors' hammer the final nail into Demetriou's coaching coffin
People talk about players being protected species. I’d say Milne is the most protected player in the NRL. With a joke of a tackling technique where most of his high tackles/cannonballs are with intent, he’s lucky not to have been sent off more often.

Oh my God what a small world DP. My hometown is in Mymensingh/Kishoreganj.
The Roar's NRL expert tips and predictions, Round 8: Don't forget to put your entries in early for Anzac Day!
Firstly, Lest We Forget. For me personally, ANZAC Day gives me a time to reflect when my parents had to flee Bangladesh temporarily (then East Pakistan) during the nations fight for independence where one of the worst genocides post WWII occured before they went back post independence. Now onto my tips
Wahs will be fired up and get back to winning ways on home soil, but the Titans will scrap hard for at least 60 mins
I’m gonna be bold. Draw even after golden point at Allianz.
Storm to get it done with relative ease and finally win by double digit points
Manly will run riot over a hapless Eels outfit that aren’t helping the Commbank Stadium bullies calls
Broncos with some huge ins despite losing Cobbo and Mam. They should win comfortably
Panthers should win in Townsville with the side they’ve got. But it ain’t always easy to go there and win over the past 24 months for a non QLD team/Sharks.
Phins will be up for it in front of a big crowd and entertain their fans to what I believe will be an easy win. AOB, time to start cleaning up your office soon if you don’t get the results quick enough.
Raiders will fight, but the Sharks to break their GIO Stadium hoodoo

I just had a look at his date of birth. Bloke is younger than me. Guess that ends my sporting dreams.
