Pretty alarming drop! I’ll play today but as you call see, small outlays on e/w chances generally.
Lot of chatter (blow ups) throughout the week about delays to races last week and that it was intentional. My take is that if your job is to maximise turnover, why wouldn’t you be sluggish? Not ideal but surely, like in HK, going to happen more often. Thoughts?

Yep, good start!
Few scratchings, think In The Congo gets all the favours with a bias towards leaders today, and Kirwan’s Lane can do some damage first-up in race 9.

Good ride, good strong win

Willingbeast – poor fella, that was a tough watch.
Pretty significant on-pace bias, although that doesn’t excuse the runs of the market horses in the QE. Colette too. Something amiss?
All Aged again looks a ripper, something for us to look forward to 😊

11 is the likely end number too? Was the Melbourne Cup peak too big to come back from?

Colette not 100 surely? That’s not her out there today…

Some good rides today, thought Colette was done by Bowman on Forbidden Love, that was a peach.
Kah was brilliant and it all went beautifully for Zaaki didn’t it. He could have ended up on a limb but just left him chasing nicely outside the leader – he loves that scenario

VE just didn’t get through the ground as well as Monte, she’s such a gun mud-runner.
I’m with you, at 1.40 I don’t even see value in adding it as a doubles anchor.

Good q. I use multiple to ensure I get best price, but generally think TopSport is a good service offering best of top fluc or best tote on major metros.

Newmarket looks a pearler. Home Affairs could go from star to superstar if he bolts in, like Shelby, his best is good enough but can he produce against older horses? I’ve backed Roch ‘N’ Horse at 100/1 down in weight, the two NZ horses ran a sub 1.07 together, even if it’s on the downhill at Trentham!

Maybe Brutality done no favours by the inside draw? Clark did nothing wrong there taking the sit, Colett’s ride was a peach and was the difference I reckon

Eduardo too good. Nature Strip missed it a half length? That was enough in those conditions. Nature Strip might have some improvement but would need to, I’d worry about him having a gut buster there on the track considering he floundered late. Shelby? Just wow!

A bit plain? Mazu is a fighter! Might pay to forgive K, EF could have been anything yesterday…
